Suspicion

"Yes, I went there and found the mother who said that Gareth had decided to go with the father when he was banished, so I stopped disturbing her. I was surprised when you said that you had Gareth." The teacher said while looking at them with a displeased expression. It was like she did not want to deal with what they were talking about at all. 

Lesly frowned, as in her mind, a teacher has a high responsibility, and the woman in front of her did not show any signs of that. She looked at the teacher questionably and a hint of suspicion. 

It was quite weird. In fact, Lesly knew better than point that out immediately. 

"A student is said to have gone with the father, and you did not bother to confirm from us whether we had allowed the kid to be taken away from the coven?" Lesly asked while looking at the woman seriously.

"I don't think it was necessary—" The teacher tried to explain herself, but Lesly was not having any of this.
