CHAPTER 10- GOOD BYE

" Who was she? " Commissioner asked

"My past what i wanted to forget"Ravi said

She was Priscilla, She picked up her phone and stood there silently.Then Eve said to me that"

She is Priscilla wilson the reporter of JTV she got late because she didn't know the timings, and Priscilla he is Mr. Ravi the manager of TAIS company and she is Miss Jennifer, she is also the manager of TAIS company."

I was just staring at Priscilla angrily.Priscilla extended her hand to shake hands with me , But I said "I remembered some important work, I have to go". After saying this I left from there.

I was remembering the things that happened to me six years ago as if it was only yesterday.I did not go to office and went to my house,I reached home and went to my room and opened my wardrobe and took out a photo album.The photo album I never wanted to see. I was looking at some pictures of the album for a while then my phone rang.It was Eve.

"Hello" I said

"What happened to you? "she asked me

"Nothing, just some office work was left, so I came to the office" I lied

"Don't lie, you're not in the office"She said angrily

"How do you know? "

"Jennifer is also with me. She called in the office to ask about you."

"Okay sorry".I said

"We three are coming to your house".

" What? "Now someone else's voice came, "Ravi, will there be wine at your house, I feel like drinking wine."

"Nirmalya sir? " I only heard a click in response.

I quickly checked my fridge to see if there was wine in it.I did not drink much wine, so I did not know whether I have wine at home or not.I found a bottle of red wine in the fridge which I probably kept for guests. Then the doorbell of my house rang. I opened the door and saw that Nirmalya sir, miss jennifer and Eve were standing outside.

"Won't you ask us to come in?" Nirmalya sir said

"Please come in" I said,they come in and sit on the couch.

"Nice furniture sir" Jennifer said

"Thanks"Then Eve picks up that photo album and looking at the photo I was looking at, she says that "this is the same girl you ran away from the office after seeing her".Nirmalya sir and Jennifer also see that photo.

"Yes it's the same girl"Jennifer said

"You are hiding something from us, right."Nirmalya sir said

I kept silent.

" You can tell us"Nirmalya sir said

"It's a long story sir" I said

"We don't have any problem right. "

"Nope" Jennifer said

"Ok listen, my father was a police officer and my mother was a housewife.My father could not give me much time because he was very busy in his work.But my mother used to spend most of her time with me. The night before my 8th birthday my father and mother came to my room and told me that they were both going out for some important work.I got sad, Then they said that they will bring a nice gift for me when they comes.And said to lock the door properly. I woke up early in the morning and went to the kitchen to see if mom and dad have come back or not, but no one was in the kitchen. Then there was a knock on the door of my house,I said "who is outside? "

"I am uncle jonas ravi".

" Uncle" I quickly opened the door. Uncle Jonas stood outside looking very sad.

"Good morning Uncle, but mom and dad is not at home now".

" I know my child, come with me i want to show you something".

"A gift for my birthday, right".I said happily He took me to an ambulance which was standing at a short distance from my house.

He told the man standing outside the ambulance "open the door".

As soon as the door opened, I saw that my mother and father were lying inside the ambulance.

"Is this a game mom and dad are playing with me, uncle" I asked

But he kept silent.

"Mom, wake up naa, dad" I said

"Why mom and dad are not getting up? "

"They will never wake up, say goodbye to your mom and dad one last time Ravi".

"Mom..dad" It finally dawned on me. I had become an orphan. I stood there crying continuously for maybe 1 hour. Then uncle took me to his house,

His family consisted only of his wife Alina and his son Robert.Aunt Alina didn't like me.Many times she even called me a burden, Whenever she used to shout at me, I used to stand silent in front of her and later come to my room and curse my parents why they left me alone.Uncle Jonas used to come into my room and tell me "Don't mind Auntie's words sometimes it happens".I didn't even have many friends in school,because I didn't talk to anyone Except one PRISCILLA , because she knows my feelings,we were good friends. Time passed slowly we moved from school to college,

Now Robert was with us in college too, We weren't good friends but we didn't have any enmity either.

robert was not so good in studies, Uncle jonas always explained to him that he should learn something from me because my marks were better than him.Hearing this, he became irritable and told them that "I do not want to do a job, I have to do business", and then they both had a long debate on this. At the end of which I always had to pacify Robert and take him to his room.robert also used to scold me about the same thing sometimes because he thought i wanted to humiliate him. Then uncle had to come to resolve our quarrel.He often told us that both of us are his future."Thanks dad".robert happily says

"Yes and i am very worried about my future."Hearing this, we both laughed a lot.

But as I said happiness doesn't last long.
