The First Kiss

 "What did you expect me to do? Ochoa had already won the case and what the hell did your girlfriend, Jasmine, do there?" Caitlyn asked when Carter continued to give her a sour look. They were already outside the boardroom with other doctors.

"I expected you to support me, to lend in your voice! Jasmine was just terrified and she chose to shut up. What about you? What were you afraid of in there?" Carter asked with his words making a hissing sound and being lower than usual. His nose was flaring and his eyes narrowed dangerously as he seized Caitlyn up.

"No amount of words from me would have changed anything. You were too hotheaded and you didn't show any sign of respect for Ochoa. Go and console your girlfriend and stop staring at me like that for heaven's sake!" Caitlyn said and Carter drew near her. They were creating a scene and the other doctors were watching them while pretending to be doing something else.
