Have you ever seen a snow globe break? Have you ever seen the swirling liquid that suspends glitter like stars and dreams come crashing down and soaking the floor only to be wiped away in irritation? Did you ever stop to think about how beautiful and fragile that little world behind the spherical glass is? That there is beauty and bliss in that undisturbed diorama?
This was, in a moment, the feeling consuming my heart. That blissful moment where I was a breath away from kissing Felix, the man who I fell for years ago, shattered. The crowd of Lycans still clapping and cheering, enjoying the show and being seen as something more than just one thing – being a Lycan.
All of it was gone in a breath as my mother came storming out of the crowd toward me.
