A Sinful Feeling*

Without thinking, Roseanne pushes Josephine’s hands away from Dmitri’s. Her eyes flare up in anger at the sight of her mate being with another woman. She knows that Dmitri did not do anything with this snooty princess because Roseanne felt no pain of betrayal. But the jealousy in Roseanne’s heart has no bounds.

“I was helping him!” Josephine retorts with a smile. “I was with him last night as a friend, helping him with the banquet while you were drunk and passed out.”

Roseanne fumes at her. The woman is shameless and Roseanne does not like her one bit. Dmitri may tolerate her but Roseanne will not. Mate bond or not, this is her castle and not even a Princess like Josephine can mess with her in the only place she considers a home.

“I will take over the duties of my mate now,” she grits.

“Funny you said that because you still do not bear his mark,” Josephine calmly points out. “Do you really consider him as a mate when you would not even let him touch you?”
