"I'm sorry for interrupting your time with Ray", said Si again.
"You don't have to apologise. I was going to come anyway. I missed you all", I said admitting it to myself for the first time. It felt very good.
"Everything is OK between you guys?", asked Si.
"Everything is fine. He is the best guy I can hope for", I said.
"You love him?", she asked. I winced not knowing how to answer her question.
"I don't know. But I care for him enough", I said to her.
"That is good. Lucien had changed since the accident. He has taken to Sheila completely. He rarely visits Lucille anymore", she said.
"What?", I asked unable to keep surprise off my face.
Lucille is his only child. She had been badly burnt. It would kill me if I don't visit her if I were her parent. I never expected this from Lucien.
