Chapter 2: Divorce papers

****Lisa's POV****

After Mom left,I was hoping that Jayden would at least call or come to see me because I know that Mom already told him yesterday,a part of me was hoping that he would explain things or even try asking for forgiveness. Hour after hour I kept waiting but still Jayden didn't even call or show up. The sun was setting but still no Jayden,I pick up my phone and called but it went to voicemail and after trying for a couple of times,I decided to see him tomorrow morning for explanation,and also for him to sign the divorce papers.

I picked up my phone and called my assistant,"Jane,tell my lawyer that he needs to be here by 10am tomorrow and he should bring the divorce papers with him.,not waiting to hear Jane's blabbering about the whole issue,placing my phone back at the table side,I pressed the nurse station button call. Shortly after,a petite looking nurse came and without lifting my head or opening my eyes I told her to call my attending doctor, after a short while,the doctor came, looking towards her I said with an ice cold voice,"Prepare my discharge papers for tomorrow and don't tell my mother it was my ideal","But Miss Walker you just got out of surgery a while ago and according medical practitioner protocol,we need to observe you for 24 hours to make sure that the surgery has no side effects". "Are you questioning my orders,if you still want to work here and you medical license intact then do as I told you. You can go now and if my Mom comes back to looking for me tomorrow then tell her that I went to meet a friend and convince her that I am perfectly fine to be discharged or else.....". Turning to the other side of the bed,I closed my eyes and drift off to sleep. Soon,Dawn came and I was woken up by the sound of knocking on the door,"come in",The door immediately opened and I saw Jane and my lawyer walk in holding the divorce papers,"Miss Walker,this are the divorce papers that you asked for",I took the papers and studied them closely,"Good,you can go and don't let any ear hear about this divorce papers","Yes ma'am". Looking at my best friend/assistant,isaw worry,fear and curiosity mixed in and as soon as the lawyer walked out her curiosity couldn't let her sit ,"What's that all about? and why don't you want him to tell your Mom?And why did you file for a divorce?I taught you and Jayden are happy in your marriage". Hearing all the last question caused tears to start forming in my eyes because I myself taught the same thing until he showed me his true colors, forcing back those tears I told her,"You do know that curiosity kill the cat right?. Don't worry,when the time is right I will tell you all you want to know but right now I need to go,so where is my dress","wait what!!,you just got out of surgery and you are going out already","I have to and also tomorrow,my lawyer will give you the documents that I asked him to give you","Ok you're creeping me out,why are you sounding as if you're dying and only have a few hour left". Seeing that she was not going to hand me the dress,I stood up and took it and entered the bathroom to change.

After a few minutes,I came out all dress,took the divorce papers and kissed her on the cheek before whispering to her,"When the time is right I will tell you everything but for now,take care of everything until I come back and no matter what happens,take good care of my mother and the company". And without waiting to hear her reply,I walked out in a hurry
