ADRIANO
I was exhausted and stressed. Between nearly losing Raven and the crap with Tony, I had a lot on my plate. I had never planned to keep Raven inside the penthouse away from danger, but if she wasn’t going to listen and get herself hurt… I had to do something about it.
Alessandro met me outside my office as I shut the door behind myself. I needed to talk to him about the whole Tony thing. During the last three days, I had been asking him to look into the Ricci’s whereabouts and plans.
“What did you find out?” I walked down the hallway beside Alessandro, adjusting my shirt.
Trust was something that I hated being broken. I didn’t handle being lied to well. It took a lot of time for me to trust someone enough to place them into positions. The fact that someone I had trusted to be picked by one of my capos turned into an informant was enough to upset me.
I didn’t hire guys to be pussies, and I expected them to do me right. Who did this guy think he was?
