"Let's find some place more private," Vincent's quiet words startled Sophia awake, her face instantly flushed with embarrassment. The sudden attention they had attracted because of her actions overwhelmed her, making her feel self-conscious.
"Okay," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper, as she instinctively buried her face into his chest. It was a reflexive action, seeking relief and a shield from the prying eyes around them. "Let's go, " he gently held her hands and guided her to a more private place, away from the curious onlookers. The bustling sounds of the campus slowly faded into the background, replaced by a sense of intimacy and peace.
