To go back to when life was easy, and her only worry was what to choose for dinner would be. Even if it meant faking a bond with a mate? Just long enough so she could escape this hellish nightmare? But what would Pearl do when she realizes she’s responsible for someone else’s wellbeing? Could she risk another for her own selfish desires? *** Would she be able to get her old life back? The life before these things humans only fantasized about became real? Or would she end up falling in love, giving in to this bond she intended to forsake, and choosing to stay with the love of her life? Pearl's POV

"Ahhhhhhhh!" I let out a loud shrill, my voice echoing inside the nearly empty cave.

I had not seen anyone inside the cave when I walked maybe because my mind was elsewhere it was only after I had taken off my clothes that I realized I wasn't alone, something I should have before standing naked in front of him!

He was staring at me like I've grown two heads making me grimace as I looked down at my self and quickly try to use my hands to cover up what could be covered by my small hands which weren't much.

I was literally naked,I hadn't worn any underwear today, just like every other day since I got rid of mine that felt over worn because I only had that set.

"Shit," I let out and quickly turned as I grabbed my clothes from the floor and try to quickly yank it on.

"I didn't see much," his husky voice resonated in the cave making my cheeks flame up and I was sure they looked as red as a freaking tomato right now.
