Chapter - 7

Inside the visible electric current coursing through the water suddenly disappeared as Atticus has already turned the switch down as well as taken the electric cord away from the water. Next he turned the water valve back to normal.

*Sigh* As a breath of warm air escaped from Atticus's mouth it was clear that this air carried a lot of emotions that were veiling inside Atticus' mind. Atticus stood there straight looking down on the ground, his breathing was ragged and uneven, slowly his legs lost strength, he fell on the ground, closed his eyes and bit his lips.

Down there Lily was still tied up, eyes staring at the ceiling and her ears betrayed her as she heard the screams yet didn't moved a single muscle on her face. After a while she closed her eyes and thought 'I will kill him.' Thinking this she opened her eyes which now had a weird light in them.

After a while, Atticus got up and started to move in the directions of stairs with one arm on a railing, one hanging from his shoulder. ' Is this the right time Luna?' Asked Atticus but there was no reply so he moved forward, and left the old him behind.

His heavy steps his relaxed breathing his void eyes all changed. He wore a mask hiding his emotions. His eyes were now tense, steps quick and breathing ragged. He stopped a few meters away from the wooden bed and was looking at Lily.

It was that moment when there eyes met. In front of Lily was a short boy with a round face eyes devoid of all corruption, filled with concern and care, his breathing harsh and legs bent hands on this knees and was trying to catch a breath.

In front of Atticus though was probably the most notorious criminal in all of Ambrosia. His heart was in a turmoil of negative emotions, but his mask was doing a great job hiding it. His level of skills was enough to get him a career in Hollywood.

"Little brother please help me! these men captured me and were about to… about to.. *sob**sob*" said Lily with tears in her eyes.

"It's alright big sister d-don't cry I will help you get out of this situation." said Atticus stuttering a little bit there with his flawless facial expressions as he came closer to untie Lily.

Right at that moment Lily felt an inexplicable feeling, something she felt never before. Her heart was warm and her wandering on the boy's body drifting here and there.

When Atticus saw this the meaning of charm became clear in his heart and dozens of more questions in his mind, but his body didn't show any of it.

After Atticus finished untying her his eyes widened, his mouth agape and his eyebrows arched. This women was 6'3ft tall! Atticus was 5'7 which is pretty tall for his age but this women was a head taller than even him! she is the tallest women he had seen.

Lily was eyeing the boy in front of her with a very possessive gaze looking at his agape mouth and his widened eyes she couldn't help but giggle. His round face, brown hair, brown eyes and that cute expression that wasn't hideous in the least . She was laughing, her eyes filled with a warm gaze right hand on her mouth trying to contain her laugh and eyes fixed on Atticus.

"What's your name little brother?" asked Lily with a smile of gratitude on her face.

"I am Atticus big sister. Are you alright?" asked Atticus with a genuinely concerned look on his face.

" Yes I am alright Atticus. Where are you from?" inquired Lily as she placed her hand on Atticus's shoulder and looked straight into his eyes. Her grip was strong and her eyes fixed on the boy in front of her.

Atticus felt an invisible pressure coming from her. He lowered his gaze and looked at her feet. He felt perplexed not knowing what to do.

"W-We don't have time for that big sister we should call the police, and ambulance for these guys." said Atticus with his muscle tense, eyes conveying pity. He glanced over the corpses and took his phone out.

Right at that moment Lily snatched Atticus' phone away from him and said in with a smile on her face. " NO need to do that little brother, I will call my father and he will take care of it. You see he is a police officer and these guys kidnapped me to gain leverage against him."

'What a cunning women in this short while she literally made up a perfect story justifying why she was caught and why there is no need for me to call the police. Now if I persist on calling the police I will be under suspicion' thought Atticus in his head but on the outside he would appear to be convinced by this explanation.
