Chapter 27: Journey to the Center of the Earth
Ophelia's POV
The minute class concluded, Cricket, Lilac, and Ophelia hurried from the gym. They wanted to get ahead of the crowd of women dispersing across campus.
They stood in the foyer of Frasier Hall watching women mull about.
"She seems kind of odd," Cricket suggested, pointing to a woman with her hair in long, black braids.
"I think she's just like that," Lilac murmured, trying to redirect Cricket's attention.
Sally Pullam was definitely kind of just a strange character. She was the kind of woman who never really grew up, but in the worst way. She immersed herself in a collection of hobbies and a very particular set of stories that it seemed no one else on campus was familiar with. That wasn't dangerous behavior, she was just a unique woman.
"Okay, what about her?" Cricket asked, pointing to a red headed woman with plaid trousers instead of a skirt.
