Danger

"Mmmm," Luisa moaned softly as her eye lashes flutter open like butterfly wings, trying to adjust to the faint light that managed to force its way through the small window, hitting her eyes.

Slowly, faces began to hover above her and she began to hear the voices.

"Wow...She is a girl,"

"What is a girl doing in a place like this?"

She sat up immediately, her green eyes screened through her surroundings. She was surrounded by boys. Boys of different kinds and of both her age or older than her and even younger than her.

"She is an elf," one of the boys pointed out. "How did she get here?"

"Does it matter? She might as well just commit suicide because she won't last a week." another boy stated. Luisa frowned at that statement, her gaze fell on the boy that said it.

He was older, maybe twelve or something and he was a vampire. His bright red eyes revealed his identity, he looked like an average vampire.

Luisa glared at him, she hated vampires with everything she had and after what they did to her clan, her rage for them grew and she has sworn to take revenge at all cost.

They were a total of ten in the room, including her and she was the only girl. There was one vampire, two elves including herself and the rest were humans. How did she find herself here?

Two days ago...

Luisa remained in that position for a long time, she was covered in her mother's blood as she cried nonstop.

Why?

This wasn't fair at all. What did her elf village do to warrant this?

It was almost dawn, her fists clenched as she sworn to avenge her parents and clan. She stood up and wiped her tears leaving blood trails on her face.

She looked towards the forest surrounding her clan and began to walk towards it, she didn't know where to go, she just walked ignoring the dangers that lurks in the forest and the outside world.

She moved deeper into the forest unaware of the creature that has spotted her as its new prey. She stopped all of a sudden, because her elf ears were picking up some movements that weren't hers yet she couldn't see any one around.

She continued walking but deep down she felt she was being followed. Her fists clenched as she walked cautiously and on alert. When the movements became audible enough, out of fear she began running even without seeing who or what was after her.

Suddenly, she fell or actually she felt herself being pushed by a supernatural force. Her eyes widened when a black smoke wrapped around her ankles like a tentacle, the spot felt cold and the creature began to drag her towards it.

Luisa let out terrifying screams as she was being dragged by what she couldn't see. She tried to get the tentacle of a thing off of her but it was useless, her hands just kept passing through the tentacle like the vapor it was.

Then a dagger that was radiating with a faint blue light pierced through the tentacle, it stopped dragging her at once and let go of her ankle as if it just got burnt by something really hot.

Then the ear piercing screech of the creature was heard before it snarled.

"What is with that glare? Was that the way your mother taught you to welcome a guest? What? I spoilt your meal, awwn... I am going to make sure you never go hungry again," a male voice echoed in the forest, then a man finally came into view and so as the creature.

The horrifying sight of it made goosebumps to form on Luisa's skin as she gulps. The man came to stand in front of her, his broad masculine back facing her but he turned his head to his side to look at her.

He was tall, well built and handsome, some of his jet black hair fell to his forehead. His eyes were golden in color and his icy gaze fell on the little girl, he signalled her to move aside, which she did.

Luisa stood up and did just that, but she didn't move too far, she stood just close behind a tree as she watches them.

The creature screech again, "What? You don't do foreplay, alright...Let us get down to business, shall we?" the creature launched at him and the man's lips pulled up in a mischievous and sardonic smirk.

When the creature almost got to where the man was, he easily dodged the attack.

This agitated the creature, it growled at the man as it felt being mocked.

"(Scoffs)...Lucky for you, I am not in the mood for torture today, so I will make your death quick," the man told.

He raised his hand and a mystical circle appeared, with the creature at the center of the circle. Suddenly, the man's hand ignited with a flame of blue energy and he started muttering a foreign language, something like a spell or an incantation.

Markings appeared on the circle, making the circle also to glow with a blue light. The creature fell to its knees and screech loudly in pain. It tried to crawl out of the circle but it was struck in the chest by the man's dagger, that flew swiftly at the creature not missing its aim.

The light turned to golden and fire enveloped the creature starting from its chest where it had been stabbed with the dagger, until it burnt entirely. The light went out and so as the screeching of the creature, it was dead.

The man walked to where it was and collected his dagger, he cleaned it with a handkerchief he threw away cleaning the dagger up, then he put it back to its place. "You can come out now shortie," the man called Luisa.
