2. Character Building

Before I start building my character, I had to get to know a little about the system that is operating the world.

Every person has at least 1 class, which is either dominant or recessive.

They are Primary and Secondary classes.

The primary class is the2. Character Building is one that people see when they apprise you and almost nobody can check your secondary class.

If you are lucky to get a secondary class, the primary one is almost always a dominant class and the other is recessive.

You cannot have two dominant or 2 recessive classes and the only way for the recessive class to be a primary class is when the person doesn't have a secondary class or possess a skill that changes it.

There are also unique classes or skills, which means that only this person possesses them. It is singularity and nobody else can have it unless it's for a group of people, or of the lower tier.

There are nine stats, six physical and three mental.

Vitality(VIT), Stamina(STM), Ressistance(RES), Strength(STR), Dexterity(DEX) and Agility(AGI) are your body's statistics.

Willpower(WP), Intelligence(INT), and Knowledge(KNW) are all about the mind.

Mehar allowed me to completely customize my character. He said that I am the only one that got the chance like this. Other world-travellers just got unique classes and skills, but I can choose whichever classes and 3 unique skills I want. I was always interested in mind control and hypnosis, so I found a class that was best suited for it. Mind Master(U). Its basic skill was Brainwash, which well does as the name suggests, and a unique skill Mastermind.

Brainwash WP- Change the perspective and way of thinking of the target by implementing suggestions into his mind. Those changes are permanent and cannot be dissolved as they are not counted as debuff but a complete change of personalities.

Mastermind(U) Whenever Using a skill that is based on your WP, reduce Target's last defence WP stat based on your lvl. Also immune to all effects and status debuffs that affect your mind in any way.

"Hoho, Mind Master. I can see where it goes." Said Mehar and then continued with words. "You must know that characters like those are dominant and people will be able to see them if they want to. After they get to know about it they will avoid, imprison, or even kill you."

That was not what I wanted...

"Is there any way to mask it or something?" I ask, I don't want to give up on this class. It would be like my teenage dream come true.

"Hmmm, yes there is a Unique skill called Perfect Cover that makes your secondary class your primary. It also allows you to change the way other people see your profile if they appraise it."

"Perfect! That is exactly what I need. Now I need to get a second class that will make it easier for me to be alone with another person, so I can do whatever I want." What could it be?

Mind master was class weak in combat, so I have to find either fighting or support class.

But I also want to get to people, so the fighting class is out. What is left is support...

"I can't be supporting people actively as it will place me in dangerous positions, it's better to do it passively or permanently... is there even something like that?" I voice out my thoughts without thinking.

"Yes, there is. A unique class with the name of Potential Enhancer. With its class, you can enhance someone's body potential, which is impossible to change with normal means."

"Yes! That's it! Also, I can make my followers stronger so it would be easier to protect me!" I was so excited, it was as if this class what custom-made for me. I can be alone with my prey and also make him more suitable to defend me if I need it. At once I've checked this class in the character creation window.

Potential Enhancer(U) is known for abilities to increase body potential. The basic skill is Enhance Potential which increases in rank to which I can upgrade others' potential. The unique one is named Relaxing Massage. It relaxes the target to easier take all changes that appear in him and after a while, he gets a temporary bonus to all statistics. Wouldn't it mean that my brainwashing will be easier to get accepted by him?

Also, a well-known skill is a Potential Release. What was that? After level 10 he gets his second skill which is as important as an increase in potential. Why? Because after you increase someone's potential his stats do not change, it will change only the amount that he gets after every level up.

This skill allows you to release the potential that was "wasted" in this progress but not all at once as it takes some time.

"Great! Another excuse to be alone with someone!"

"Now, I am left with two unique skills to choose from. Hmmm, let's think a little. Even if I can brainwash someone he could resist it, which means I need a way to know others' willpower, maybe Appraise skill? Nope, it works only on targets that are the same or lower level. Let's see... Nope, nope, not this one, man there are so many skills in the appraising category..." There were hundreds of them, how can I find what I need? After about half an hour I found something that could be of use.

"Mind-Eye(U) Allows you to see the target's INT and WP potential and statistics, You can also see if there is any skill that grants them resistance to the mind-affecting skills. It cannot be resisted and perceived... Hey Old White, does it mean that I can check everyone's INT and WP and they won't even know about it? And are there any other skills that I can choose from?"

"Hmmm, Mind-Eye. Yes, that's what it means. And no there are not. You have an access to skills that are not taken by anyone as those are Unique skills. Which means if someone possesses it, you cannot choose it for yourself."

Ahh, so there are many more skills than those listed here.

"Okey, I am taking this one, it's the best for me from the one I can take. Now I have one more to go..."

~Again let's think about it. I can already brainwash someone and check if I can do it, what is left is making sure that it will work. To achieve it I need something that will temporarily lower their WP. not affect them permanently so other people won't realize what I am doing and it won't reduce his abilities to protect me.~

"I have a suggestion if you are interested." Said the self-proclaimed god.

"Please, do tell." ~why deny someone who wants to help, I have no idea anyway...~

"Hypnotic Trance, check it." That was the answer.

"Well, why not? Hypnotic Trance(U)- allows you to put a relaxed target into a trance where the target's willpower will be reduced by 50% and every suggestion will be remembered faster, and stronger. Reduces physical pain while in trance to almost none existing. After waking up from the trance, the target will get a well-rested buff. Damn, that's good!" I've decided what skills to take.
