With a graceful flourish, she wielded her sword, unleashing a whirlwind of blades that sliced through the air in a deadly dance. Her hand moved with precision, guiding the blades' trajectory to strike Zhian with relentless force. Though he dodged each blade with incredible speed, the sheer momentum of the attacks pushed him back, his feet scraping against the ground as he struggled to maintain his footing.
Just as Abi was fully focused on her blade control, a soldier suddenly soared into the air, his sword poised to strike her from above. Sensing the unusual energy, Abi's gaze snapped upward, and her eyes widened as she spotted the soldier hovering above her, his sword aimed squarely at her heart.
Reacting with lightning-fast reflexes, Abi raised her sword and pointed it at the soldier, unleashing a powerful thrust that pierced his throat with deadly accuracy. The sword exited the back of his neck, and his lifeless body plummeted toward the ground, his blood spurting out in a crimson arc. Abi swiftly pulled her sword from his neck, and the soldier's body crashed to the earth, his blood pooling around him.
Clutching the hilt of her sword, she gazed at the warriors before her, their eyes fixed on her with a mixture of caution and curiosity. With a deep breath, she summoned the depths of her power, and the force she unleashed made her stumble, her knees buckling beneath her. She leaned heavily on her sword, using it as a crutch to keep herself upright.
" Velverosa, please stop this, I know you're trying to buy time for lucky, but you can't hold it any longer" Zhian explained.
As the spiritual energy coursed through her veins, they bulged and turned a deep crimson, visible beneath her pale skin. Her hair, disheveled and wild, framed her face as she gazed up at Zhian, a gentle laugh escaping her lips despite the pain etched on her features.
"Buy time?" she repeated, her voice laced with a hint of amusement. "You think I'm trying to stall for Lucky's sake? You're mistaken, Zhian. The truth is, even if you and Master Zuka combined your strength, you couldn't touch a single strand of his hair. He's beyond your reach, and I won't let you disturb his peaceful slumber."
She pushed herself up from her knees, her sword scraping against the ground as she stood tall once more. Her eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, daring anyone to challenge her resolve. "I dare anyone who can challenge me!" She yelled, her voice echoing through the battlefield.
"Arrows, SHOOT THE ARROWS!" Zara commanded, her voice cold and calculating. The remaining soldiers swiftly took position, summoning their spiritual arrows with a swift motion. "Shoot!" she ordered, and the arrows hissed through the air, shooting straight for Abi with deadly precision.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Abi picked up her sword and moved it in a swirling motion, adding her powers to increase the pace and prevent any arrows from reaching her. The arrows clashed with her sword's energy, sparking a shower of light as they deflected off her blade.
But the soldiers didn't relent. They doubled the strength of their arrow powers as zara instructed and shot again, and this time, one arrow managed to pierce through Abi's defenses, striking her in the arm, leg, and shoulder. The impact sent her stumbling back, her strength waning as she fell to the floor, her sword slipping from her grasp.
Zhian close his eyes in disappointment and sadness as he watch her drop to the floor he actually doesn't want any of these to happen to her.
When Zara saw that those arrows met her she smiled in satisfaction as she look at abi who was breathing hard on the floor her cloth already stained with her blood.
Zara smile faded when abigail manage to get up on her feet and that made her so mad
" Shoot again" she commands and they all reactive their spiritual arrows and shot it at her.
Moving back a little, she form a barrier over herself but those arrows were too strong and it broke it and one manage to pierce through her chest and that made her fall flat to the hard floor. Her barrier was weak cause she's already getting weak, she has actually wasted a lot of energy.
A minute passed and she managed to get back up on her feet and that made Zara and Zhian eyes widen in shock
" Why?, I hate to see her stand up, why can't she fall down" Zara asked her voice sounding very annoyed as she watch abi staggered to the front trying to hold her strength to stand firm.
Staring daggers at abi, Zara activate her own golden spiritual arrows and shot it with such force that it went straight to her heart and came out at her back
"Shoot again!" Zara commanded, her voice cold and unforgiving. The soldiers reactivated their spiritual arrows and unleashed a barrage of energy projectiles at Abi. She attempted to defend herself by forming a barrier, but her weakened state made it fragile and vulnerable. The arrows pierced through the barrier, and one struck her chest with unrelenting force, sending her crashing to the hard floor.
For a minute, Abi lay motionless, her body drained of energy. Zara and Zhian exchanged a look of surprise, their eyes widening in disbelief as Abi struggled to her feet once more. Zara's face contorted in frustration and annoyance.
"Why?! I hate to see her stand up! Why can't she just fall down?" she exclaimed, her voice laced with exasperation.
Abi stumbled forward, her legs trembling beneath her. She gritted her teeth, determined to stand firm despite her dwindling strength. Zara's gaze narrowed, her eyes blazing with fury. With a swift motion, she activated her own golden spiritual arrows and unleashed a powerful shot that struck Abi's heart and exited through her back.
Abigail groaned in agony as she collapsed to her knees, her once vibrant eyes now dull and lifeless. With a heavy thud, her head bowed forward, her body slumping in defeat. The solemn melody of a mournful song filled the air, its haunting notes echoing the tragedy that had unfolded.
As a gentle breeze swept through the scene, Abigail's hair billowed around her, a stark contrast to the stillness of her form. Rivulets of blood streamed from her wounded arm, tracing a crimson path down to her fingertips before dripping onto the unforgiving ground below, a poignant reminder of the sacrifice she had made.
"Is she dead?" Zara's voice trembled with uncertainty as she turned to Zhian, who bore a heavy expression of sorrow on his features.
"Finally, she's dead," Zhian confirmed, his voice tinged with regret. "Zhian, summon more soldiers to look for Lucky. I will take him back, even with his lifeless body, and as for Velverosa, though she's now useless, I will chop her body into pieces and grind her bones into ashes," Zara declared, her tone resolute as she gazed upon the motionless figure before her.
Out of the hundreds of soldiers who had gathered, only twenty remained. Ten of them stepped forward, prepared to descend the cliff in search of Lucky. The barrier Abigail had created had dissipated with her last breath, leaving behind a solemn silence.
As the soldiers approached the edge of the cliff, an unexpected event unfolded.
Abigail's body ascended into the sky, enveloped in a cascade of vibrant red energy. With a graceful descent, she landed firmly on the ground, her hand steadying her stance. Her once chocolate-colored eyes now blazed a fiery red hue, reflecting the intensity of her newfound power. A majestic white tail, adorned with nine shimmering fox tails, unfurled from her back, swirling with crimson flames that danced in the air. She bared her long, sharp fangs in a menacing snarl, exuding an aura of primal ferocity.
The sight struck horror into Zara's heart, her face contorted with disbelief as she beheld the transformation before her. Abigail knelt before them, emitting guttural growls that echoed with an otherworldly resonance.
"A nine-tailed fox? Haw can a spiritual master have the spirit of a nine tailed fox?" Zhian's voice trembled as he asked no one in particular.
