Chapter 5 To sign or not to sign

After getting out of the bed Jeremy realized he was extremely sore for laying down for long periods of time. So he made a decision that for every 12 hours he played he would have to do 3 hours of exercise just to keep his body going. Also he made the decision that halfway thru he would need to take a break to eat, as his health could become a problem if he let it.

After he came back from a 2 hour hike, he noticed a man in a suit outside his apartment and it looked like he was waiting for him. When he opened his door the man came forward quickly to catch him before he went in. " Jeremy, can I have a moment of your time" the man yelled trying to catch the door before it closed.

Jeremy wasn't sure if he could trust the man but he agreed to hear him out on the front porch and invited him to sit down.

" My name is Nathaniel Longshire and I am with Next Gen and we wanted to offer you a deal. We know that you recieved a character not of a normal class and we were wondering if we could entice you not to stream and show off the character until we give the go ahead. There may be a couple of issues we are working on since the character was not ready for release. Some of the you will notice have already been hot-fixed while out of game.

Now we know you will be partying with other pro gamers and they will probably spot that you aren't a normal character but if you could try to hide the specifics we would be willing to pay a salary equal to what you normally make while streaming and all you have to do is keep the class a guarded secret."

" You don't have to sign now but we would like a response in the next couple of days. Play your character, see how he feels, and see a lawyer if it makes you feel better. "

What they were offering was too good to be true. Even my lawyer didn't see a problem for me on any of the paperwork. He also wanted to know what kind of luck I had to be paid this much to do normal things.

Only thing left was to check out my character and see what they did with it.
