Underground

Eliot and Levi took off their jumpers and went to the bleachers to sit down. Their eyes were trained to the ring as they anticipated the next fight.

The winner of the previous fight, Shadowbane, was prancing around the ring looking for another opponent. There were many fighters on the lineup but they were all scared.

After seeing what he did to the previous guy, they were scared to end up like him. A metal punch could break your face.

"You're all a bunch of pussies! One of you will come and fight me! "

He was mad and he was looking for a fight. His metal hands shone in the spotlight as he behaved like a caveman who wanted nothing but to beat people all day.

"Why doesn't he just go home? " Eliot asked.

"He wants a huge payout. He's not fighting for free or for fun. He will be paid according to the people he beats. " I explained.

Levi had the honor of living downtown on Earth where underground fighting rings like those were common. He knew everything there was to know about that.

He didn't think Sunaru was different. Underground fighting was underground fighting. No licensed doctors on standby and the fights had no rules. That was the beauty of it.

No one ever really knew the outcome because an opponent could even pull out a knife just as he was being defeated.

His attention was taken back to the stage where another man was entering the ring for the fight. He was huge. Almost five times bigger than Shadowbane. He also had an intimidating look on his face.

Even Shadowbane was scared. They stood on opposite sides of the ring and a girl in a revealing leather bikini that only covered her nipples and center entered in.

"Introducing the challenger: Shadowbane! On the left side is Giant. This is a fight with no rules. Killing and maiming is not at all prohibited. Now for the first round. Fight!"

Then she flashed the round one sign before climbing out. They didn't even wait for her to fully leave the ring before they attacked at the same time.

"Who do you think will win? " Eliot asked as he rubbed his hands together.

"The big guy. He has strong muscle and is fast for a man his size. " Levi replied.

Shadowbane was new to fighting. He had seen an opportunity to use his metal arms and now that he had won a couple of fights, he had grown a big head.

Levi didn't deduce that information. He heard a couple of guys talking when they were finding seats. Arrogance never won a fight. Being around streetfighters taught him that.

Shadowbane landed a punch on his opponent who stumbled backwards. He hadn't anticipated that. His anger grew and he grabbed Shadowbane by his neck.

He hit him in the stomach, stepped on his foot with all his strength and hit Shadowbane on the head. When he let go of Shadowbane, he fell to the ground.

Giant hovered above a bleeding Shadowbane and urged him to get off the ground. Before he could get up, Giant stepped on his face and stomped it. Everyone in the room winced.

Giant didn't stop there.

He stepped on Shadowbane's balls and then stomach and feet. He was a screaming fit on the ground. He begged and begged but Giant didn't want to spare him.

"I am so excited to know who will win, " Eliot said.

Their seats were at a good spot where they had the perfect view of the stage.

"Tell me, can those metal arms of yours be removed from your shoulders? " Giant asked.

He knew they could. The only metal part of Shadowbane's arms that were metal were his hands. From his shoulder to his elbow to his wrist was all flesh.

Shadowbane retreated backwards while shaking his head. He was unable to stand because of all the pain he felt all over his body but he didn't want his arms removed from his body.

That was cold and heartless. Even he had never fought someone and did that. Unfortunately, Giant wasn't a decent person like he was. He grabbed Shadowbane's arm, stepped on his armpits and pulled until the arm was separate from the body.

Giant laughed as he raised the arm for everyone to see. Shadowbane screamed and tried to get away from Giant. Giant pulled his back with his good arm and made grunting noises.

"I am taking all your arms. Let's see how you fight now. "

Then he pulled out the other arm and laughed as he raised them in the air. The people were quiet for a few seconds before they all started cheering and chanting Giant's name.

Shadowbane was on the ground without both his arms. Blood was covering the ring and Giant. There was no use in going for another round.

Shadowbane couldn't speak let alone move. He was probably in shock and was passing out because of the loss of blood.

Giant stepped on Shadowbane and raised the arms one more time to signal he had defeated his opponent. People started cheering louder as some people came with a stretcher and carried the man on the ground away.

Giant was asked for his arms but he refused to part with them.

"These are mine. They are going in my arm collection. I took them fair and square. " Then he started grunting and people started copying him.

"This is fucked up. "

"This is street fighting, " Levi answered with a smile on his face. He had just found the solution to all his problems.

This was an easy way to make money and increase his stats at the same time. He was going to spend the next week practicing and them come back and show those fuckers how it's done.

The place started getting rowdy as people argued over bets and fights broke out. The chaos was getting too hard for the guards to contain.

"We need to leave. "

Before things became even worse, Levi and Eliot stood up and started leaving. Unknown to Eliot, Levi had picked up a flyer for recruitment of potential fighters of the underground fighting arena that was being handed out.

[This is not a game. You could die]

Levi didn't require the system's input. He has already made his decision. Even those monsters in the basement did not play fair.

If the Mother of Dragons came, she wouldn't play fair. This was his best chance to practice for the real deal.
