Valentines day was slowly approaching and you were silently dreading it. You were single, hopelessly in love with your boss, and socially awkward. You were able to speak almost just fine while serving club attendees their drinks, but speaking to Lucifer Morningstar? A feat seemingly Impossible.
You arrived at Lux an hour early to help make things neat for opening. You see your coworkers already in the back room, either getting dressed for their jobs as waiters or undress into something more revealing. You open your locker to grab the deep pink, button shirt; a theme for the 'month of love'. As you swung the metal door open, you noticed a pink envelope sitting right in the perfect spot.
Slowly you pick up the envelope and carefully open it, mindful not to tear it. Inside was just a small, one-sided card stock paper with the message "" finely written in cursive on one side. Confused, you looked over both sides of the paper and everywhere on the envelope for a name but there was no trace of who the sender was.
"Hey Jess, did you see anyone by my locker at all?" You asked your co-worker behind you as she straightened out her cupid wings for her outfit.
"Nope, I didn't. Sorry, (Y/N)." She shrugged and walked somewhere else in the locker room.
"Looks like you got a secret admirer." You heard a voice to your left: Sammie. "Before you ask: no I didn't see anyone put it in there, and I was the first one here."
"Strange..." You put the paper back in the envelope and set it back in your locker. You had to finish getting ready for your shift.
"You know... There is only one person that would have access 24/7."
"I highly doubt Lucifer would be my secret admirer. Let alone he is very bold and confident, if he liked me he would say so to my face." You close your locker and mentally prepare yourself for the Lux partiers.
---
Day after day there was a paper with a compliment in a pink envelope in your locker. And just like with each day, no one saw who put it there. You had an a small thought that it could be Lucifer, but the idea that he may be crushing on you and doing it so anonymously made you doubt that thought.
Valentines Day came on quick, and you knew today would be busy in Lux. You opened your locker like usual and like usual: there was a pink envelope placed ever so carefully. But unlike the past few notes, this one didn't have a compliment. This had a booth number in Lux and the time when you get off work. This time, rather than place the note back in your locker, you slipped it into your pocket.
Admittedly, if the note hadn't of had the meet up location was not in Lux you most likely wouldn't meet up with this mystery person. With a nervous sigh, you get yourself mentally prepared for the busy shift.
---
With your shift over and yourself freshened up, you make your way out of the locker room and through the bustling club. You felt your chest tighten up with anxiety when you could see the booth in through gaps of the crowd. You could see the back of the persons head, and it made you want to just turn on your heel and book it.
Your breath was caught in your throat when you finally got to the booth.
Lucifer Morningstar was sitting in the booth with a bouquet of your favorite flowers and what looks to be a box of chocolate. His head perked when he saw you standing at the edge of the table.
"O-Oh sorry, I think I got the wrong table." You squeaked, loud enough for him to hear over the music.
"You are exactly at the right table, my dear." He smiled. "Come, sit."
You gulped, "Sure." You slid into the booth, your legs felt like jell-o while doing so. "If I had known we were exchanging gifts I would have made sure to get you something, Lucifer."
"Don't fret about it dear. Your company is all I need." There he goes again with that dashing smile. He slid over the box and placed the bouquet right in front of you. The nightclub owner then slid himself next to you, but was mindful to keep a bit of space in between the both of you.
"I'm a bit shocked to be honest that you are my admirer."
"Why is that?"
"Well," you take a moment to process your words. "You're usually so bold with how you feel and what you want."
"I had gotten advice to try a subtle approach to asking you out. I thought it would be best, I noticed you can be a bit anxious." You felt your heart flutter at his thoughtfulness.
"Yes."
"Yes?"
"I am saying yes to go out with you."
"You've just made me the happiest devil." He grin and so did you.
