" Okay I will." Sophia said running back and grabbing the near available cloak. She then draped it on herself and happily jogged out.
Seeing her behaving like a small child and not a queen, Raphael wondered how the people in the kingdom will perceive her. But what other people thought about his mate was nothing of his concern,he loved her nevertheless.
He could only chuckle at her silly behaviour.
" she must be excited to meet her father.' he thought to himself but even though Sophia was excited to meet her supposed father,she was more excited to unravel the truth about her parentage. This was something that would help her a great deal in her mission.
Rizia was waiting for the Queen at the entrance of the castle. When she approached her,she could see that the queen was In high spirits. Her curiosity got the better of her and she decided to ask.
" My Queen,you seem very much excited about your visit to the kingdom of Windsor?"
" Yes Rizia,I am very much excited. I mean,who wouldn't be? it's my birthplace and the place I spent almost all the years of my life!" Sophia stated but she underestimated her maid.
" Am sorry but I think my Queen just lied to me. That is no by any means why you are excited." Rizia stated with confidence.
Looking at her maid who was getting smarter every day,Sophia couldn't help but feel proud. She has surely grown up.
" You are getting smarter each day Rizia." Sophia said playfully.
" I interact with my queen who is smart ofcourse I have to learn from her." Rizia said that piece proudly.
Sincerely speaking, her queen was very knowledgeable and tactful. She could even say that her way if reasoning was other worldly. It's like she was from another different world from theirs. Her thinking ofcourse was the true. Compared to this era, the Sophia present came from a different world,a world more advanced than theirs so it was obvious her way of thinking and reasoning was advanced.
But that was something known by Sophia and Raphael as for now. Nobody else knew about the little secret of the mate and ofcourse they did not see any need to tell that to anyone.
" And you are getting better at sweet talking too my naive Rizia." Sophia said teasingly sending Rizia to a blushing mess.
" You are right,I am indeed happy but not only because am going to my homeland ( not like it was her homeland) but because the mystery sorrounding me will get resolved. I need to know everything about my powers not because I long to be powerful but because I have a mission to protect my loved ones. I want to acquire more power so that I can be able to gather information about Raphael's prophecy. I still have to be powerful to deal with all the storms that will come my way." Sophia said remembering the future she saw the other day In her dreams.
She couldn't let the matter escalate to that degree. She will do whatever it is that can be done to stop such a terrible thing from happening. She won't sit by and watch the people she loves be sacrificed. she won't sit by and watch the whole universe thrown into a mess. She has to look for ways to stop that disaster and the best way was to become powerful and dissolve the crystal of doom.
" You really care about the King, don't you my queen?" Rizia asked. she could see how the queen was trying to make sure the kings curse was lifted. She was willing to undertake any difficulties, sacrifice anything just to ensure the curse was lifted. Rizia was sure that that was what they called Love.
" Not just the King Rizia. Yes,I care about my mate. I want to see him safe even when am no longer by his side but also I am doing this for our kingdom,for the other beings that are In this world. Only by setting Raphael free, will the people be safe." Sophia explained.
" You said you want him safe even after you leave here,are you going somewhere after the prophecy comes to pass? do you plan on abandoning all of us my Queen ?" Rizia asked almost In tears. She has gotten used to the queen's presence such that she can't know how to continue living without her.
" Now you are turning to be a crybaby." Sophia reprimanded but affectionately.
" Ofcourse I don't plan on going anywhere. If it was up to me,I would choose to stay by the king's side always but Rizia,we don't know what the future holds for us. we know nothing of what will happen tomorrow." Sophia said but you could feel the reluctancy in her words. like she was trying to empower herself to take a path she wouldn't take if provided an excuse.
Sophia ofcourse Is very much aware of her fate. To save her mate and the whole world,she will have to use her soul to destroy the crystal of doom.
If there was an alternative way to break the crystal of doom without sacrificing her soul, Sophia wouldn't hesitate to do it but she knows that there isn't, atleast for now.
She was hellbent on knowing everything about the prophecy, maybe there could be a hint as to how the curse can be lifted without having to sacrifice her soul.
Just like any other mate,she wanted to spend her eternity with Raphael. They could go roaming the earth together making beautiful memories. She has even considered having a family,a son and a daughter. what else could be more beautiful than that,but she knew that in her case, that will remain to be just a dream.
A beauty dream.
" I know that my queen is strong,she will fight everything that comes her way and emerge a winner at the end. You will grow old with the king,that's my prayer." Rizia said,her words touching the queen's heart.
She ofcourse wished the same thing.
