I'm Here to Kidnap You

On Friday morning, Li Qin Yao went to her cafe after a short meeting with her employees at the QL B City Branch. When she walked in into the kitchen, Li Qin Yao was greeted by the smell of burned sugar and both Yin Mei Xuan and Auntie Yu were staring at an object on the counter.

"What happened?" Li Qin Yao stared at that blackened object that looked like... a large misshaped ring?

Yin Mei Xuan turned around with an expression as if she was about to cry. "I turned around briefly and suddenly everything has turned black, I have to use hot water to get the hardened sugar out of the pot."

"This is her attempt to make the spun sugar for the croquembouche," Auntie Yu tried to explain.

Li Qin Yao watched that hardened sugar and felt her mouth twitched. Then she turned to her friend and said, "I thought you were trying to make sculptured sugar."

Yin Mei Xuan pouted.
