You’re Jealous

The next day...

(At the royal garden)

"You must be kidding right?" Charlotte giggled.

"Do we look like we are?" Josh asked.

Charlotte looked at the princess. "Your highness, it's not true right?"

Lucy responded, "It's true. Josh and I are together."

As soon as Charlotte heard that, tears started falling from her eyes. She couldn't accept the fact that they were together. Charlotte loved him first, but why does Josh fall for another woman? She was the one who always comforted him when he was down, so why didn't he chose her?

Charlotte shouted, "No! Your just saying that because you want to get a promotion!"

"Charlotte!" the princess yelled.

"Why? Am I not telling the truth? How could a princess be with a man like you?"

The general responded, "I'm in a relationship with the princess because I love her. I'm not after anything."

"You're lying," Charlotte said.

Josh kissed the princess. "Can this be our proof then?"

"Josh!" Lucy whispered.

"I don't believe it!" Charlotte yelled.

"Want me to repeat it again?" Josh smiled.

Charlotte cried, "You guys are just—"

Before she could even continue her sentence, a man suddenly came and told them to stop. Josh then looked at the direction of the voice and saw that it was Mark. He then asked him what was wrong.

Mark answered, "You're being too rough."

"Are you saying that I'm the one at fault here?" Josh asked.

"I didn't blame anyone."

Lucy tapped the general's shoulder. "Josh, let's go. Mark's right."

When Lucy and the Josh left, Mark told Charlotte that she had to accept the fact that the general and the princess are together. Charlotte then shook her head.

Mark sighed, "Josh isn't the one for you."

Charlotte clenched her fist. "How are you so sure? Are you some kind of fortune teller?"

"Look, I know you're in a bad mood, so it's better to get some rest. You'll get over it in a few days."

"Why care about me?"

"I'm being sympathetic."

"Don't you love the princess? Why didn't you just marry her when she asked you to?" Charlotte sighed.

"Charlotte, you have to understand that there are some things that aren't just meant to be."

"I'm not a child. I know that."

"Then apply it."

A few hours later...

(In the princess's bedroom)

Josh asked the princess what was bothering her. Lucy then told him that she was just wondering how Mateo was doing.

The general glared. "Why think about him?"

"I wanna pay them a visit some time." Lucy smiled.

"Seriously?"

"What's wrong? I'm just—"

Without letting her finish her sentence, the general pulled her into a hug and gently kissed her lips. Time stopped as his lips met hers, but the flutter didn't. Lucy's heart pounded as she felt his soft lips against her mouth. The princess was kissing him as she was pulling him closer and the general pushed her backwards as her legs hit the wooden stool. As the general deepened the kiss, she started responding to it until she broke the kiss which left her short of breath.

Josh smirked. "You aren't allowed to talk about other men in front of me."

"Why should I?" the princess chuckled.

"You have to be loyal to me."

The princess folded her arms. "Make me."

Josh then brought his face closer and asked her, "Do you want me to?"

"If you can." Lucy chuckled.

"I'll show you what I can do then," Josh said as he brought her closer to his body and kissed her passionately.

The princess broke the kiss. "That's too much!"

The general asked, "Why didn't you push me away then?"

Lucy looked away. "Your mean."

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"Shall we continue what we were talking about then?"

Josh glared. "Do you want me to remind you again of the consequence of talking about other men in front of me?"

Lucy laughed. "Josh, he loves Mia."

Josh then told her that he hated it when she talked about other men because it makes him go crazy and make him wanna kiss her till her mind's only filled with him.

The princess cupped his face. "Why is that?"

The general sighed, "I'm scared to lose you."

"Do you not trust me?"

"I still have this feeling that you still like Mateo..."

"Josh, I don't like him. It's only gonna be you now and forever."

"I don't believe in words. I want you to show it."

Lucy smiled. "What do you want me to do then?"

The general smirked. "It's simple. Kiss me."

"Josh!"

"Just a peck."

"Fine, i'm only doing this once," Lucy said as she tipped toed, and kissed the general with her eyes closed.
