Remorse

"Are you confessing to my fiancé in front of her soon to be husband?" Cameron asked.

"That's what I feel." Leo chuckled.

"You're shameless."

Leo then told him that he knew that he had no chance against him, but he just wanted to let Eleanor know that she has a special place in his heart.

Cameron hugged the princess tighter. "Whatever."

"Your fiancé is jealous." Leo chuckled.

"I don't mind," the princess giggled.

Leo then explained that his main purpose of telling this is because he didn't want any regrets. No matter how tempting it was to destroy Eleanor's relationship with Cameron, he'd never do that. If being with him makes her happy, then he'll back out and just be happy for them.

Eleanor smiled. "Thank you."

Leo responded, "I want to help you vanquish the enemy, but I haven't identified his allies yet."

Cameron sighed, "I know two of his servants."

Leo's eyes widened. "I thought it was only Jack?"

"The other two are Licia and Jay. They are four in all. We just haven't identified the leader yet."

"Jay...?" Eleanor asked.

Cameron replied, "Yes, we've suspected him from the begging. He even tried to poison me."

"What about Licia?" Leo asked.

Cameron then told him that he was clueless as to why she's helping them, but he assumed that she must be after the same thing, power.

"What does Licia look like?" Eleanor asked.

A woman suddenly came and said, "She's the villager we helped."

Eleanor looked back. "Olivia? You heard everything?"

Olivia sighed, "I know everything."

"You mean Licia? Joseph's friend?"

"Albert's friend."

"Olivia, do you know who their leader is?" Cameron asked.

"No idea," Olivia answered.

"Why would you ask her? She's the number one suspect here!" Leo shouted.

The princess glared. "What are you talking about? Olivia is innocent!"

"Eleanor, are you going to allow her to deceive you?"

Cameron then tried to stop the fight by telling Leo to calm down, but he got angrier.

Olivia said, "Your highness, I really have nothing to do with them."

"As If someone would believe you," Leo responded.

"I believe her," a man suddenly came in and interrupted.

"Carson...? You were also eavesdropping on us?" Cameron asked.

"Prince Carson, she's guilty," said Leo.

"How could you accuse someone without even hearing what she has to say?" Carson asked.

"I don't need to hear her statement."

"Although I can't prove her innocence, I can assure you that Olivia isn't the traitor."

Leo responded, "Fine then, but get out."

"What?" Carson asked.

"I said both of you get out," Leo repeated.

"We're here to help you, your highness," Olivia said.

The princess sighed, "Leo, just let them stay."

Leo said, "I'll let you stay if you tell us everything you know about Licia."

"Your highness, while Eleanor and I was on our way to the Fire kingdom a few months back, there was a woman who stole our food, and that woman was Licia. She told us that she didn't mean to steal it because her family was in deep starvation. The head of their village wouldn't give them anything to eat. Later on, we arrived at Pali village, met the head of that village, and was able to convince him to give Licia food," Olivia explained.

"That's it?" Leo asked.

Olivia then told him that when they were on their way out of Pali village, Licia gave them a lamp that would guide them on our way to the Fire kingdom.

"What did you do to the lamp when you arrived at the Fire kingdom?" Cameron asked.

"We threw it away. It was worthless," Olivia replied.

"Did you notice anything suspicious in the lamp?"

"None. It just brightens up if we get closer to our destination."

"You told Licia that you were heading towards the Fire kingdom, but how did the lamp know where you were going?" Leo asked.

"She must have powers," Eleanor assumed.

"That's possible, but she doesn't seem strong enough to turn the lamp into a tracker," Cameron said.

"Your majesty, do you mean that all this time, Licia knew everything?" Olivia asked.

"Could be. She's probably discovered that Eleanor's heart contains the blue gem."

Carson leaned back on his chair. "What do we do now?"

"It's quite simple. We wait for them to make the first move," Leo responded.
