Big Mistake

(At the Earth kingdom)

Charlotte handed Josh a bottled water. The general then told her that he didn't need it and that it was none of her business.

Charlotte sat beside him. "I'm sure Mark has told you about it."

Josh rolled his eyes. "I don't care."

"Give me a chance."

"Look, I already have someone that I like."

"So? It doesn't mean I don't have a chance."

Josh responded, "Leave me alone, please."

"It's the princess, isn't it? What makes you so sure that she still likes you? She usually sees you everyday right? Why doesn't she do it now then?"

Josh closed his eyes. "She's probably busy."

"That's not an excuse. It's been a week."

"What are you trying to tell me then?" the general asked.

Charlotte then told him that he didn't have a chance with her anymore so he should give up.

Josh glared. "Don't tell me what to do."

"Don't worry, even if her feelings have changed, my feelings for you won't."

"Charlotte, please."

"I like you too much, general," Charlotte said as she hugged him.

"Let go of me," Josh demanded.

"Why should I?"

"You're just doing this—"

Before he could even finish, a woman came and congratulated them. Both Charlotte and the general then looked towards the direction of the voice and saw the princess.

The general explained, "Princess, it's not what you—"

"It's fine. I'm glad you've found the one." Lucy smiled.

The princess then ran back to the castle.

"Let me go!" Josh demanded.

"Why should I?" Charlotte asked.

"I said let me go!" Josh repeated.

A few hours later...

(In the princess' bedroom)

The princess told the general to get out of her room, but the general stayed and told her to listen to what he has to say. Lucy then explained that she was happy for him so he didn't need to tell her anything.

Josh went closer. "You can't deceive me, princess."

The princess looked away. "I don't want to talk to you."

"Listen to me, please."

"Josh, stop—"

Before she was able to to continue, Josh suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug. Lucy then told him to let go, but Josh refused. Instead, he told her that Charlotte was just joking.

Lucy looked away. "Look, you already have a girlfriend, so don't go hugging any stranger."

"Why don't you trust me?" Josh asked.

The princess then explained that he didn't have to worry since she didn't like him anymore.

"You must be joking, princess." Josh laughed.

"I'm not," Lucy said.

"I don't like Charlotte. You have to believe me."

"I'm not doing this because of that."

"Are you serious?" the general asked.

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

"Then why are you crying?"

"Why would I—"

Before she could continue, Josh instantly brought her closer to his body and brushed his lips against hers. As soon as she felt his lips on hers, the princess was then astounded. She tried to push the general away, but he was too strong.

"I like you," Josh said with his lips close to hers.

Lucy responded, "Don't kiss me."

"It just seems like you're jealous."

As soon as the general expressed his feelings, her heart skipped a beat. She did love him, but why did she kept pushing him away? After many weeks, the general has finally fallen for, so why did her feelings change?

"Get out." The princess wiped her lips.

"I didn't do anything wrong."

Lucy shouted, "I said get—"

Without letting her finish her sentence, the general hugged her tighter and asked why she was angry at him even though he had already expressed his feelings. Lucy then told him that her feelings have changed.

Josh said, "Seems like you didn't feel anything towards that kiss."

Lucy laughed. "Why would I?"

"You've changed, Lucy."

"We're done talking, so kindly leave."

"Look at me straight in the eye and tell me that," Josh responded.

Lucy looked away. "Leave, Josh."

"Fine then," Josh said as he slammed the bedroom door.

When Josh left, the princess cried even louder.

She mumbled, "I'm sorry, Josh. I need to marry him."
