Finally, it's done

The girl quickly walked away. The kid

immediately let go of her knife and ran out.

Bloody Andrea was lying on the floor. She just closed her eyes.

"Check the vital sign"

"Okay, doctor" Andrea was already inside the operating room, severely stabbed. Her wound was close to her heart, the operation to be performed would be dangerous.

As Dreb arrived at his office, his secretary is standing in front of his desk, looking at the mess papers and files threw everywhere.

"You have an appointment in ten minutes Sir." Dreb look at his watch and deeply sighs.

"Okay, I'll be there" his secretary bowed and he leave. A sighs of disbelief. He paused, crossed his arm and continue to walked.

'Good morning Mr. Mendoza' greeted to him by an employee. He smiled fakely and continue to walked.

Nine hours later they're  still in the meeting. The huge table in fornt of them is strewn with financial reports, photocopied draft contracts. The company is now having some big problems.

'What should we do then, Mr. Mendoza' a teasing voice said by one of the board members.

He chuckles, looking at the man and lifted his brows. 'If I have a plan I will tell you but I have no plan right now.' the faces were shocked as they heard it.

'Too irresponsible!' shouted by one of the biggest shareholders in the company.

' Dismissed' fiercely - he looked around and continue to walked. I arrived at the hospital exhausted and brain-dead.

Looking at her ex-girlfriend, feeling guilty. A pity look was traced on his face. He slowly walked closer to the woman.

Holding her hands was the most beautiful and wonderful thing he would do. Her hands was as soft as a bread. Soft, white skin, she was perfect.

He wake as the sun strikes his eyes. Stooding slowly, his body aches. He look up as he saw some shadow around the room.

His nanny was in front of him, holding a cup of coffee. She put the coffee down on the table.

'Good morning Sir,' she says. 'How are you doing? "

' Fine but tired a little bit' he say, as he turned his attention to Andrea.

'Thanks for the coffee' he says and sit besides Andrea.

Slowly, the nanny walk closer towards him. Tapped his back, he feel comfort. 'Don't worry everything will be okay. Things will turned to be fine' she says, she sits besides the man.

A minute later...

"Where am I? 'he suddenly turn his attention to the woman. Waking up holding her head.

Dreb wasn't sure if he want to smile or cry. Or both. She looked around and saw the man in a teary eyes.

' Finally, you're back' he says, hugging her tightly.

' Well.... thanks to you. I really appreciate it. Your efforts and concerns'

'I just have to do that, I don't want our daughter lose her mom' she swallowed and looked at the man. She averted her sight, she's unable to speak in front of him.

'What do you want to eat?' asking her while holding some coffee in his hands.

'Anything' she try to sound casual.

'Okay' a wide smile before he left.

'Do you like it?' Andrea smiles.

'I love it'

It's one of the warmest day of the year for Dreb. As the sun lowers in the sky, he went back to the hospital. Looking at her, it made him smile.

Ringg...

'Well.... er....' he glanced at her. 'Ivll be back later....'

'You can go,' says Andrea, waving her hands.

'I' ll be back, don't worry. Good night'

'Goodnight' Andrea replied. Slowly laying in her bed before Dreb left.

It was eleven o'clock when Dreb got back to the hospital. He look at her tired, his eyes had dark circles. So that evening, he just look after Andrea. Reading some books beside on her, he sighs as he flip the next page.

He rub his tired eyes and flip again to the next page.

'You're here?' Andrea says, slowly getting up to face him.

Dreb just started at her for a few seconds. He sighs in disbelief and face her.

'Maybe, this is the right I should let you go' he says, which made her surprised.

'Well... er... you know I w-'

'I don't know' she says awkwardly.

'You know that right, I' ve always liked you' he says, while looking down the girl couldn't stop to look at him.

'Maybe this is the last time we will met each other.' she says, a teardrops.

'Maybe you're right, in this way we can be a better person in the future.' Dreb says, he was disappointed.

'You wouldn't understand how I feel about you' she says in her mind while looking at the man.

'Right.' Dreb says and glanced at his watch. 'I' d better get going now. '

' Yes, of course. '

Andrea get some elastic band and tie her hair, sobbing quietly. Then she stopped herself.' This is enough. 'she said at last.

A week later....

She looked at herself for a few more seconds in the mirror, then take some cleansing wipe and scrub her face until she look fine.'Back to normal.' she says, sighs.

Ellisa was on her province, Andrea sent her home for her to take care of her duaghter. Andrea's daughter was with Dreb. After 1 week, Carmela will be back to her.

A delivery man pressed to doorbell, she walked outside and get the parcel. Looking at the parcel, she just look at it for a few seconds and went inside.

She unwrap the little parcel, a sweet photo of Dreb and Carmela was inside. She was about to throw the box but something fell off.

It a silver bracelet with her name on it. It was beautiful. 'This is so pretty she says, and put the bracelet to her wrist.

Dialing...

' Yes, Mr. Mendoza speaking. How can I help you' he says formally. She chuckles.

'It's me.... Thank you so much, it's so beautiful' Andrea say while looking at the silver bracelet on her wrist.

'That's my last gift for you' a sudden sadness came onto her.

'Thanks again' she said awkwardly and end the call. Her heart starts to pound, every time she remember the day on the hospital she get sad. It made her cry, the man she loved gave up on her at last.

She don't know if she want to cry or laugh. Or maybe both. 'I will be fine' she says.

The real happiness is when people learn how to let go of things they really loved. To be loved by someone like him, is the most important and the most beautiful thing that happened to me. I would never forget about him, he really given up but I can still saw him from a far.

She slowly lean her head on the bed and sighs. 'It's done now.' she exhaled and closed her eyes.

Andrea was unable to sleep that night, her mind was completely occupied by Dreb Mendoza. She just spend her night rolling on her bed. Glancing at her phone with her photos with him, yawning as it was fell asleep.

It was past noon as she woke up, yawning before getting up. And go to the bathroom to do her daily routines.

Ring...

'Hello?'

'I'm taking Carmela back to you, as soon as I get here back.... I' ll leave' a strange silence sorrounds them between the phone.

'Er... Yeah, that's great' she says, sighs as the call ended. She was looking down as she walked towards the kitchen.

She nearly jumped a mile. It s Dreb. Right there, standing and looking at her, holding some suitcase and some stuffs.

'Mommy!' daughter says and ran towards her. It was a tight hug, she smiles.

'Thank you for taking care of her' she says, looking at the man and want to stop him.

'I guess, I should be going now' he says, a sad long face while he trun his back.

'Wait... Er... Take care' he nods. Slowly walking towrasds the door, he turned his back and walked towards her. Suddenly hugging her, it made her drop a tear.

'I love you, I will always love you. Take care of her' he lean and get close to his ears and whisper.

As the reality hits me, that no one will stay forever in our life. Everyone just come and go. I can't believe how wrong I planned all this. I can't belive things turned out this way. I can't believe how stupid I've been. I can't even fight for him. I can't even stop him, I don't want him to leave but I can't say it. My pride was too high.

There's silence. At last he let go of her. She feel a painful wrench inside her.

'You must be late... you should get going.' he nods.

'Daddy? Are you not coming back?' his daughter sobs as she was hugging her father.

'Dad will come back... Maybe soon, dad has a lot of work to do. Be good to your mom okay?' tears were dropping, hugging his daughter for the last time.

He stood up, waving his hands and finally went out. He leans his back on the door as he was outside. Quietly sobbing, putting his hands to cover his mouth. Stopping his tears to drops. At last, he get his own self back and started to walked.

'Finally, it's done'
