Calvin closed his eyes, reminiscing the most shocking and life-threatening situation he ever experienced. Never he felt that scared to lose his life, not even when he joined the illegal race, where he put his life on stake in the speeding car of over two hundred mph.
"Carl?" Micheal nudged him with a worried face. "You okay?"
Calvin abruptly opened his eyes and moved his head in an almost imperceptible nod. He adjusted his position, leaning forward with elbows perched on his knees.
The room went eerily silent when Calvin started his narration, "I went for a glass of water around one fifteen and after switching off the lights, intended to went to bed again, I noticed there's a balcony at the back. So, I decided to check it out, as I don't really felt sleepy at that time."
He stopped for a moment, sipping on his water to soothe his parched throat.
