Chapter 31: Fake Marriage, Real Marriage Certificate.

She turned her head and, though puzzled, still spoke up, "Of course I hate."

"Be my wife, and I'll help you take revenge."

Gu Qiangwei was taken aback.

What did that mean?

Wasn't that previous speech just deliberately said for her father's benefit? What was the meaning of this now?

"Are you being serious or are you just pretending?" she asked, staring intently at him.

He turned his head, his black eyes dark as the starry night, yet unfathomable.

"Pretend."

Gu Qiangwei finally breathed a sigh of relief as if unburdened, having thought he really wanted her to be his wife.

"Let's go get our marriage certificate now!"

As his words fell, he leaned out of the car.

"You, you really want to register with me?" Marriage was no trivial matter, was it something to joke about?

The man's face suddenly drew closer, pinning her against the car door, his voice low and magnetic, "It's just pretend, why are you so nervous?"

Yes, it was just pretend, what was she nervous for?
