Chapter 8

"Ty,come downstairs! It's time for Christmas decoration" Christian yelled from the living room.

"Coming". Taylor knew she had to act cool if she doesn't want her family to notice her mood.

"Hey Dad, it's good you're here, Christmas will be more fun". Taylor said trying to initiate a conversation. "I know sweetheart,the more the merrier". "You mean Christmas would have been boring without dad? Ouch that hurts!" Christian faked hurt.

"C'mon ris,I didn't mean it that way. I'm just happy dad's here". "I know cutie pie".

Two hours later,the Fishers were seated at the dinning having dinner and making little chats.

"So Christian, are you interested in someone? if you're not, there's someone I would like you to meet".

"Actually, there's someone I like,infact I'm in love with her" Christian hates it when his dad tries to play Cupid,and it's always with one of those spoilt brats. "I just hope she's not a bimbo"

"She's not a bimbo" "and can we have dinner in peace?" Grace Fisher added.

"I don't understand why you both fight over silly things, and George I think you should stop matchmaking our son like he's some deal to be signed. It's totally unfair, since you got to chose your bride". That got Mr Fisher to shut up.

After dinner,they all sat in the living room  watching a Christmas Opera.

"Son,when will I meet the lady that captured your attention,the sooner the better you know,so you can get married and be seen as a responsible adult". "George"....Mrs Fisher whispered tapping her husband softly

"I'll be in my room" Christian replied.

"Jesus! there's never a peaceful day. And dad, I think you should stop pressuring Ris, he'll get married when he's ready. Goodnight".

"Honey,you didn't have to do that. Christian is our son,give him a break. Stop treating him like an employee"

"I'm only trying to make him a better person for the future,I think there's nothing wrong in caring for my son. Stop making it seem like I committed murder".

"You'll make him drift further,he's trying to warm up to you after so long,can you please reciprocate the action? I can't lose my son again! This is Christmas,let's have fun and bond as a family please?"

"Okay,I'll do my best. I hope that makes you happy"
