Chapter 1-Party

12 years later-

Rosie sipped a cold beer as she watched her mate stick his tongue down a girl's throaght.

Rosie wasn't a beer person but tonight she just couldn't help herself. Her best friend Anna had convinced her to get out of the house and come to a party someone at school was throwing.

Now as Rosie searched the room she couldn't find her anywhere. She was all alone in her sorrow. There were couples kissing all around her, but none of them bothered as much as Dylan Masen did.

She still remembered how she told him they were mates when she was five. It was embarrassing how he laughed at her and ran away from her. She never spoke a word to him. Only watching him in the shadows like a creep.

Could you blame her. She had found her mate and she couldn't get him off her mind.

She had watched his first kiss with a girl named Kira. Though now Kira had already found her mate and she was happy.

But why couldn't that happen for Rosie. Because her mate never even looked at her once. She went to school with for all her life not even look since 5 years old.

Rosie always asked herself if something was wrong with her. If she was messed up in some unexplainable way. But no evidence had showed up. Yet.

She looked again at Dylan. The kiss was getting heated now. She saw Dylan squeeze the girl's butt cheeks.

Rosie chugged the beer now and walked outside the house needing fresh air. She felt sick. She wanted to go home.

In the front of the house their was red cups scattered around and people dancing and laughing.

She turned head to the left and finally spotted Anna talking to Jack. She was flipping her hair constantly.

Oh great she was flirting, Rosie thought.

Rosie walked over to Anna interrupting their conversation.

"I want to go home," she stated. Anna was surprised to see her.

"Oh, okay." Anna sighed, "It was getting boring here anyway."

They both turned away but Anna was stopped with a hand on her arm. Jack was holding her back. "Hey what about us."

Rosie scoffed, "Come on Jack, find someone else to smash tonight."

Jack still held on to Anna. "You promised Anna," he was persistent.

Anna tried to pull away but Jack pulled and held on tight. Rosie the hold was hurting Anna. She hated when her friends were hurting.

Rosie huffed and took a few steps back. She then ran forward and rammed into Jack with her shoulder.

Jack's hold on Anna broke as he landed on the grass with a thud. Rosie grabbed Anna and started laughing as they both ran for their car.

Thanks to her gift, Rosie had extra strength. Which also made her the perfect choice to be a warrior wolf. It's the reason why she was going to sign and train all summer. This was her senior year and she had no idea what she really wanted to do yet.

Rosie and Anna got in their car that they shared for over a year now. As soon as the seatbelts were on they spedoff towards home.

As they did, they a heard wolf howl angrily and started giggling nonstop.
