Stupid Mabel, Scared Megan

Mabel had long left Megan's house as they had made a deal to meet up tomorrow saturday to head to Mabel's mom fashion store. She dropped her address with Megan as her own house was much more closer to the shop.

She couldn't help smiling as she drove back home. She thought about it, once she arrived, she would plug in her phone as it had powered off because of low battery. She would call her mom and tell her she would be ordering dinner. Her smile grew wide at the thought of sharing with her mom that she finally made a friend. It would brighten up the entire house that's for sure.

She arrived home to see a pretty strange car parked in front of their house. She parked her car next to it and observed it. Her mom didn't use these kind of cars, while she used camry, her mom used toyota. They couldn't afford a lamborghini. She got down and went inside the house to hear voices.

She walked right into the living room to see the worst a teenager could see when they came back home. Her Mom and..... Dad were making out. They didn't sense the person in the room with them because they were so immersed with their kiss. They were kissing like starved lovers.

She smiled, not wanting to interrupt them, she would have her chance later. She tiptoed upstairs, got to her room and shut the door softly.

She plugged in her mobile phone and went to shower. After shower, she went downstairs but didn't find them. She heard her mom's voice coming from the kitchen so she already guessed they were in there.

" Totally forgotten you have a daughter, don't worry I'll be willing to disappear just tell me how long you need me gone", she whispered across to her Dad who was listening to her mom talk while cooking at the same time. He turned around and flashed her one of those daddy grins and she chuckled.

" Ma Baby is so grown up, you used to be so little with a baby face and blue eyes", He said as he picked her up and she giggled hugging him. " Everyone grows up Dad and so did I and I've still got those blue eyes just that they hide behind my glasses now", she said and took off the glasses.

She could see without them but sometimes she needed them. Her eye sight was unpredictable so she always wore them around.

After dinner, she couldn't share with her mom that she made a friend that means when Megan would take her to her mom's store, she would just surprise her instead. She kissed her Dad good night on the cheeks and hugged her Mom tightly before heading upstairs.

" Oh my God, in a rush of the moment, I forgot I was supposed to meet up with Holden. I've already made plans with Megan for tomorrow so before I'll see him is.... on Sunday", she sighed and got into her room. Well, she would see him on Sunday so no need pushing it.

She felt unsettled in her heart. She was getting too happy. Didn't that mean that something bad might happen? Megan might call to cancel for fear of being seen with her. Or she might just say something wrong that will drive Megan away. She calmed herself down. She was a fool for getting too excited, obviously Megan wouldn't want to hang with her, they just spoke and gave each other hugs,tsk tsk tsk, stupid Mabel.

She soon fell asleep with little to no expectations within.

The next day, Mabel was eating cereal with her Dad when the door bell rang. Her mom had gone to the shop early and her Dad was on leave so technically it was just the two of them who were home.

" Are you expecting anyone?", she asked her Dad and he shook his head. " Negative, you?", she shook her head in return. She had long moved on from hearing from Megan ever again so she just went to open the door.

On opening the door, she saw the back of a petite blonde who was walking away. " Megan?" she called unsure if it was really her. The girl turned around and it was Megan. She looked sad.

" I thought you didn't want to hang out anymore, I was sure this was your house you know, but you didn't pick up my calls nor opened the door", Megan said like she was just about to break down and Mabel rushed to hug her.

" I left my phone in my room and I was just having Cereal with my Dad, I didn't mean to make you feel that way", she said and Megan sighed. " It's all right...", they let go of each other. Holding hands, they walked into Mabel's home. Her Dad was drinking cereal like the world was going to end if he didn't finish it.

He cleared the bowl before sighing in satisfaction and he finally looked up. " Sorry ladies for the scene but I've got urgent matters to handle catch you later", he said picked up a jacket, wore it and kissed her cheeks, did the same to Megan before leaving.

" Your Dad is sane, mine is crazy", Megan said and Mabel chuckled. That was true, Megan Pierce did have a weird dad, she could still remember how he dragged her in just to tell her about Megan's condition.

" I'll freshen up and we can go out, wait for me here", Mabel said for Megan to nod while she headed upstairs.

After getting ready, she picked up her phone and saw that Megan did give her.... twenty missed calls. She chuckled, they had exchanged numbers when they met yesterday, who knew one day she would have someone call her other than her mom and Dad.

She finally made it downstairs and heard Megan talking over the phone, she didn't mean to eavesdrop but Megan seemed pretty angry.

" Why are you calling me?", she asked coldly, it was different from the tone that Megan used wile talking to her, who could be on the line?

" Well... For starters, you didn't show up at school for Four good days and people started gossiping just wanted to know if you're aware"

"Yes Jace I'm fucking aware and please don't ever call my line again, I hate your voice, its worse enough when I see you so no need to call me over the phone", she said and hung up.

Turning around, she saw Mabel staring at her weirdly and her slightly furrowed brows relaxed.

Jace grunted. He was grounded and Holden was not, he was fucking bored and needed something to do so he thought about calling someone and Megan popped in his mind but she hung up too quick and he wasn't even allowed to have a relationship with Mabel because of his brother.

He sighed and plumped on the bed, he wouldn't call Holden, why? Holden blocked his contact.
