Song recommended: Trouble by Valerie Broussard
Having spent nearly an hour in this menace and having to pull off my best performance was something that was usually, in fact always, short lived. I will explain why. Imagine this, there's nearly fifty people in this ball room. All being kings and queens with their representatives and three of their guards.
Some who would bring their children or next of line kin, teaching them the way in which everything has to be done. At times, they would bring their best actresses or actors and that way, some would fall for their tricks and words. They would fall for them, mate with them and by default be tied to the other realm.
Which means better allies and deals. Better plans for the futures and no one can really argue or interfere because what is done between two, will always remain between them, until someone does something utterly stupid. For example, right now there was a witch across the room, speaking to a gentlemen who belonged to the earth realm.
It's not hard to tell that they are actively flirting and the way she placed her hand on his chest made it even more clear. That was until I caught sight of a wizard across the room who did not seem pleased by the sight.
Looks like the woman was already engaged to another. Though intrigued by the entire thing, I couldn't risk having a failure of an event or having a fight break out, because of incompetence.
Tsk tsk, bitter sweet, I tell you, bitter sweet.
'Quin.' I ordered mentally and turned to head to my seat to continue overlooking everything. That was until I saw her… the one being I had hoped would not arrive here and cause trouble for me. Yet she never ceased to make a statement or stir up trouble.
"My king," she purred as she bowed respectfully, before slowly raising her head up and giving me a brave look of desire. She never failed to showcase her desire for me, no matter if I was in the process of being with someone or in an entanglement with another being.
Whatever she desired, she took with utter disrespect.
"Witch." I greeted with no hint of kindness. Giving me a chilling smile, she stepped forward and placed a hand on my chest. Giving me a stunning smile before asking, "It has been a while, have you missed me, darling?"
"It hasn't been long enough and no, I have not." I stated with a bored look. "Tsk, lover, tsk. We have been entangled in bed too many times and just because it's been a while it does not mean anything… things can easily change as they have before." She purred as she raised her hand to touch my chin.
Before I could say anything, the sound of the doors being opened was clearly heard and I knew what that meant. She was finally here. The crowd parted and I stepped back from the witch, as the line to me was directly towards the door.
I could hear the faint gasps go through the room as they took her in. And for a second, I wanted nothing more but to praise Peila for the work she had done. Dressed in a gold mermaid fitting dress, bare shoulders with a slight string holding the top up and I was sure there was a bare back.
Her hair having been ironed straight back but with a few curls around, certain parts dyed gold. Everything about her threw off normality. Her aura was one that was blindly white with a tinge of darkness. I could see her light eyes taking in everything as she placed a dangerous smile on her face.
Clearly accompanied by my brother, her friend following close by and another guard. She walked with dignity as she gave them all kind smiles as she came directly to me. My brother nodded at me and I stretched out my hand to her. When she took it, she tightened her grip just for a bit.
Indicating to me that she was clearly frightened. Walking hand in hand, arm in arm, we headed to the main throne chairs. Once seated, then came Salvaster and Quin, followed by James but he remained in the background.
The announcer stood in front and raised the horn. The horn blasted proudly and he said, "You are all welcomed by King Silver of the Oscuridad El Reino, with his soon to be, Queen, Aria. We ask that you dine and be attentive. That we avoid clashes and are wary of everything that is done. Again, we welcome you and ask you, to enjoy your evening."
