CHAPTER 33

Adela's Point of View

I brushed my teeth, and when I finished, I attempted to lie down on my bed again. However, even if I closed my eyes, sleep eluded me. I got up and adjusted my bed before heading straight to the light switch in my room and flicking it on. It was still dark, with only the lampshade beside my bed casting light.

As I turned on the light, my gaze immediately went to the wall clock, and I noted that it was only 4:01 in the morning.

I took a deep breath and ran my fingers through my slightly disheveled hair due to just waking up.

After tidying myself up, I grabbed my phone and left my room.

There was just a faint light outside. When I descended from the second floor, it caught my attention that I was the only one awake. Were they getting up at five? The household staff, if I remember correctly.
