CHAPTER 6

HAIDEE AND I are going to the cafeteria today. And I'm nervous because I'm still a little shy but the three of them look kind so somehow I feel less nervous.

"Hi, guys!" Haidee greeted us when we arrived and sat down at the table we ate at yesterday

"Yow Haids and *ahem* miss Aizelle!" Jonathan greeted us

Ryan and Santi are also here but they both seem busy because Ryan is reading a book while Santi is on earphones.

And what did he say? Haids?

"Heh! I'm telling you, Nata! Don't do anything to Zelle" Haidee warned Jonathan

"What will I do? And why are you like that? Is it because Friks is not here that's why you're like that to me" Jonathan teased

I smile at their closeness. Their relationship will be cool if they will end up being together.

But wait, Friks? Who is that?

"He wishes! The nerve of that guy! Even though he never showed up I don't care! I don't care about him! Who is him anyway? He wishes!" Haidee said

"Why are you saying a lot? I just mentioned Frisk" Jonathan said teasing Haidee

Pfft. I thought I'm the only one who noticed.

"Heh! None of your business! I'll order first" Haidee said and hurriedly walk towards the counter

"So..." I looked at Jonathan when he spoke

"What?" I asked curiously

"Do you have a boyfriend, Miss Aizelle?" Jonathan asked while smiling

"Uhm none and please remove the 'miss', just call me Aizelle 'cause it's too formal when there's a miss" I explained

"That's nice haha. So I can take you on a date?" he said while still smiling

"What? D-date? Uhm... I never tried dating anyone" I explained after recovering the shock from what he just asked me

I'm a little shy to reject him but we just met and he's too straightforward and it shocked me

"Pfft" I looked in Ryan's direction when I heard him laugh a little but then he looked away

"Did you just rejected me?" Jonathan asked surprisingly

"Uhm... It's Uhm... It's—" I haven't explained yet when Jonathan spoke again cutting my words

"Yes, you rejected me! No one ever rejected me before, it's just you! How could you? How could you do this to me?" he said emotionally

I feel guilty. That's not what I want to convey to him. I mean, not because I don't want to but I also don't want to. Weird, right? What I mean is that I don't think I am capable of doing those kinds of things. All my life I only have my books with me so it's kinda hard to adapt to those things because it's my first time having a friend. No, I mean second.

"Uhm—" I was about to speak when Haidee suddenly came and hit Jonathan

"Ouch!" Jonathan glared at Haidee for what she had done

"What are you telling Aizelle again?" Haidee's voice asked Jonathan threateningly

"Why do you care? Are we close? Are we?" Jonathan said like he was challenging Haidee

"Stop it you two. I'm hungry" Ryan said suddenly

And as a cue, Haidee's orders arrived one by one.

We ate peacefully. We talk but the voices of Haidee and Jonathan dominate. But I noticed something, Santi did not speak. I mean when he is asked, he will answer then that's it.

But I think they are used to Santi's infrequent silence so I just didn't talk to him too much.
