GETTING TO KNOW MORE

Emma stared at the man sitting on the chair and she noticed he was staring at the dancing butterflies

"I'm sorry to ask this question" she said allowing the word to sink in and she noticed that the Ann looked at her, "but why did you allow me or let me say, why sis you let me stay with you in your home?"

He let out another chuckle and she noticed it didn't even reach his eyes.

"Its because Vera begged me"

"oh. Vera" she said and looked away. She looked at him again and asked " Can I call you Eric?". The man looked at her with an expressionless face and answered, "yeah"

"Soooo, Eric?" she said and he chuckled. "How long have you known Vera?" The man looked at her, probably shocked with the question she asked but he didnt show it and since she couldn't really his expression, he decided to answer her

"Vera?" he asked

" hmmmmm. Yeah Vera" the man rested his chin on his knuckles. "Well,maybe three years" he replied, staring at her in an inquisitive way

"Oh. OK" she said and there was another silence.

"So how about your parents?" he asked, acting like he didn't know anything about her

" Died a long time" she said looking at him in the eyes. He seemed expressionless and didn't even mind. Eric noticed her mood had changed and she seemed sad.

He took his phone and tapped on something. Then after about two minutes, a maid entered, carrying a tray containing wine and she dropped it and left

"Ever drank alcohol?" he asked like he seemed interested

Emma shook her head and the man just stared at her

"Mind drinking with me?" he asked smiling seductively

She just gulped and nodded. Eric poured her a glass and told her to sit on the chair across him. he gave her the glass and told her she could drink it.

Emma loved the taste. Maybe because it was wine or maybe it just tasted sweet naturally.

He noticed she finished it and he poured her another glass and she drank it again. He noticed that after drinking the fourth glass she looked tipsy and yet he poured her another glass.
