The Ball

Luca and I enter the ball. Luca is wearing a close to black tux, I am wearing a pink, long, mermaid dress. We come over to a couple and Luca says "Sunset, this is my parents...". "It's a pleasure to meet you!" I say. "Sunset Rose, was it?" His mother says. "Yes, Mrs.Glann" I say. His mother starts whispering to his father. "Mother, please. No secrets tonight." Luca says. "Uhm, how about we go and take a breather" Luca says. He takes me away to a little secret garden. "You know, as a kid I would run away here. Just the silence, and looking at nature gets me away from everything. Looking at it now, just looking at you helps me get away from everything." He says. "Luca..." I say. "I love you" He says. "I love you too" I say. We both come closer and kiss.

"Luca?!" His mother says as she barges in. "Mother!" He says. "Come with me young boy." She says. "I'll be back..." Luca says.

-Luca's P.O.V-

"Luca, you had ONE JOB. To marry Leanne so our companies and intervene!" My mother says. "Please, Mom! Why can't you just tell Devin to marry her!" I say. "BECAUSE Luca, you know how he is! Him and Ruby are already engaged!" My mother says. "Mother please! I love Sunset... If you really care for me you'd let me be." I say. "Fine, not my funeral." My mother says. She walks away and I just stand there. I go back to Sunset after a minute or two and she's gone.

-Sunsets P.O.V-

His mother offers a tour so I come of course. I don't wanna give any more bad vibes. She shows me a really nice room until-

I hear her lock the door behind me. The only instinct I have is to find some ways out. Some smoke starts flooding in. I keep coughing and my throat starts closing a little. I then figure out a way so I get a Bobby pin out of my hair and pick the lock open. I see Luca about to get me so we run to each other and give a hug for relief. "Sunny, I'm so sorry she did this to you." Luca says. I see Blake and Leanne coming too. "Guys, I never knew you were here." I say. "We had some... Business to take care of." Blake says. "Wait, are you two...." Luca asks. "Blake and I, we have been together for a while now." Leanne says. "Well..." I say as I smile and look at Luca. "Welcome to the club, Lee." Luca says.
