Chapter 26 Enemies

Lu Yi pupils shrank for a while.

"No, I don't, Lu Yi responded.

"Young Lord, why are you then acting strangely this days. You have interfered so much in her matters. You have changed greatly after returning from the cave. You not only followed her here, helped her win the couple's test and now to Dai State, Liu Jin asked solemnly.

"I told you I don't like her. If I truly does, why haven't the medicine acted up, Lu Yi quoted trying to convince himself of his strange behavior.

"The medicine does not act up like that. Once you have fallen deep for her and have no turning back, you will feel indescribably pain, Liu Jin said worriedly.

"Ok, I got it. I don't like her, Lu Yi affirmed again.

"You can't be together. She is the Fairy Princess and you are the Devil Prince, you are bound to be competitors on battlefield. Also, we are planning to steal their treasure, do you think she will let us go if she knew, she would never shelter us, Liu Jin said strongly.

"Go find out where the Ruyi Blossom is, Lu Yi instructed one more time this time with a stern voice.

"On it, Liu Jin said and went out.

Lu Yi closed his eyes for a while before sighing.

A knock was heard from the door.

"Lu Yi, are you in, Xiaoyi voice was heard.

Lu Yi opened the door and Xiaoyi immediately fell into his arms.

They remained in the position for a while but Lu Yi chilling voice could be heard.

"Let go, Lu Yi said and did as commanded.

"Are you okay, Xiaoyi asked when she saw the look Lu Yi was wearing was not that good.

"It seems Yanhui is right. I shouldn't have compared him with someone else, Xiaoyi thought and pouted sadly.

"I am sorry, Xiaoyi responded after a while.

Lu Yi was dumbstruck.

"Why are you apologizing for no reason, Lu Yi asked with questions filled in his eyes.

"I know. You are probably angry at me because I talked about Zhang Ming, Xiaoyi said bowing her down low.

"When did she start caring about my feelings, Lu Yi thought before changing his mind.

"I am not angry, Lu Yi commented lightly.

"He's probably still angry at me, Xiaoyi thought.

"I heard sweet things improve mood so I bought candy. Here have a try, Xiaoyi said pointing a bag of candies to Lu Yi.

"I don't need it, Lu Yi refused.

"Please, have a try, Xiaoyi said with pleading eyes.

After a series of persuasion, Lu Yi was in fury.

In an attempt to refuse the candy, he threw the candy on the floor. Some of the candies fell on the ground while some remained in the packet.

"I will get going, Xiaoyi said and walked out solemnly.

As Lu Yi watched Xiaoyi sad figure walking out of the room, he suddenly had the urge to pull her back.

But as Liu Jin words echoed in his head, he withdrew his hand.

"We are destined to be enemies, he said with a sad smile.

Xiaoyi couldn't sleep a wink all through the night. She had no idea why Lu Yi's emotions and troubled face made her feel so sad.

Lu Yi stood by the window his room watching the moon when he spotted Xiaoyi slim figure.

The moon is so round today, Xiaoyi said stretching her body as she gaze at the moon.
