After their first encounter with ROOTless, the team felt utterly defeated especially their leader, Quinn. She had never lost a battle in her life, be it just a small fight, an argument or getting physical. Their expressions turned gloomy and pale coming to the realization that they had just lost their acquaintance, Franklin.

"Guys, what are we gonna do now we just Franklin, the guy, sorry I mean AI who was our info guy. I mean he technically knew everything. He's more sophisticated than the normal AI, so he might just have the feeling that we betrayed him by leaving him behind at Earth twin." Quinn said and paused for a moment, looking with a gloomy expression on her face.

"We just lost the best member of our team besides that, he still made me the leader. Team, it's clear now, we can finally say all hope is lost."

"Quinn you don't say that. I mean sure we lost Franklin, and sure there's an 80 percent chance that Franklin might turn evil thank to Hadron …"

"Jax where are you heading with this stuff?!!, are you trying to improve her mood or you're simply just a vibe killer?!!" Jason said cutting Jax short of his speech.

"I'm getting there…, Quinn what I meant to say was, we can still win this battle or war if you wanna go the extra mile. We have been with Franklin far more than they have…"

"And so Jax?, Where are heading to?" Chloe said interrupting Jax.

"What the F*ck is the problem with you guys you keep interrupting me!" Jax said with a hoarse voice and an angry tone.

"Anyway I meant, we know every single thing 'bout him and Quinn, you even built his body! Remember you made a flash drive as an anti-virus in situations like this. In this case, Hadron's Technopathy manipulation being the virus. There's also a slot for the flash drive on his right arm." Jax said with the tone of a king and the team being his peasants.

"Genius!, Brilliant! Just fu*king Brilliant!" Quinn said recognizing Jax's brilliance.

Soon after the whole team could not help but clap for him, except Jason who had a hint of Jealousy, which Phoebe could sense.

"I think I'll consider making you second in command, in my absence!" Quinn said while directly looking at Jason, just hoping to stir up some trouble for fun.

'What does Quinn see in this Jax guy so much that she even made him second in command?, I mean I'm so much better than him! Sure his power is the coolest, and he and Quinn are the only two on the team lucky enough to have systems but couldn't Quinn consider the fact that I'm her best friend?!' Jason couldn't help talking to himself seeing Jax getting all the attention, so he came up with a distraction.

"Guys did you forget that's its now 8:23pm aren't our parents going to get suspicious and bombard up us with a lot of questions. We've being out too long!" Jason said with glee in his heart seeing that he found a distraction to divert the team's attention from Jax.

"That's kinda true Jason, but Franklin taught all of us how to lie to hide our identities, did you forget that you were the only person on the team who was unwilling to learn?!, besides that, you're horrible at lying and you've already got a bad record with your parents for sneaking out of the house!, I can't imagine what your dad is gonna do to you, with him being a disciplinarian. Don't forget the fact that you're Asian, to be specific Chinese?!!" Chloe said laughing along with the rest of the team with Jax being the one comforting him while still laughing hard!

"Oooooh, I guess I forget that part. Jason said with an ugly expression compared to when drinking lime or lemon juice. But Jax don't you forget either that you're Asian also, specifically Japanese." Jason continued hoping to turn the tables on Jax.

"Yeah, but my dad isn't that iron handed after he married my white mom, whom I guessed changed him for good. But your dad on the other hand married a Korean-American woman." Jax said while defending his self.

"ENOUGH WITH THE CONVERSATIONS! The time is 8:33pm! We need to be home as soon as possible to give our parents our explanations for coming home so late!" Quinn said with a hint of rage within her.

"Duuuuh!" Chloe responded making Quinn feel more enraged to the point of thinking of kicking her off the team but she just ignored her.

"Jax you know what to do." Quinn instructed Jax indirectly.

"Right, ehhm oh yes, teleport?"

"No, destroy the moon, of course I mean teleport! Quinn said sarcastically with a bossy tone.

Jax then teleported everyone back to their homes at their door steps, but he teleport himself to his bed room as an excuse that he had been in room for the past four hours sleeping. His parents would believe him since they were both aware of the fact that Jax was a heavy sleeper. His system penalized him for being selfish and at the same time rewarded him for lie with such difficulty, under some circumstances.

While Jax was busy wining about being bald for a day, regardless of his love for his hair, the team had easily deceived their parents about their whereabouts except one freaking person, and you guessed it right: Jason.

"Jason, where have you been young man it's almost nine o' clock!" Jason's dad asked with his eyes red with anger.

"I, I ….. Jason couldn't help himself from stuttering, I was at Quinn's house doing some homework."

"That's a f*cking lie! homework at this time?!! And besides, Quinn doesn't stay up this late. So you were out clubbing again weren't you?!" Jason's dad came to conclusions.

"No dad I can explain my self!" Jason said with bullets of sweat dropping from his fore head moving backwards, while looking at the belt in his dad's hand. His guess was that he was gonna get his *ss whopped and he was right. Jason ended up going to sleep with tears in his eyes and being grounded for half a week precisely, which was 84 hours! Still crying, about how bad his butt hurt, Quinn sent a text over the VINES'S group, Bond fire, which Jason created.

Guys, tomorrow again after school we have to train extra harder since our info guy isn't here, to prepare for our next encounter with ROOTless to abduct Franklin back. Quinn typed.

That's a no from me Quinn. I AM GROUNDED for 84 hours! as we're chatting right now, I'm literally crying about how bad dad whopped my *ss! Jason sent his reply with anger while tying. The rest of team just sent a laughing emoticon😂😂😂 except Quinn who responded differently.

Don't worry about that Jason; training will be by 5:00pm since that's an hour before you're parents get home from work. The battle will take place by 8:00pm sharp, by then our parents would be asleep. Besides, Jax can teleport you here. Quinn typed.

'Yeah, Jax….' Jason said to himself thinking of how he was going to get back at Jax for trying to steal his bestie.

Hello? Jax?, Jax?? Quinn typed seeing Jason wasn't responding. Jason sn snapped out of his thoughts.

KK, it's settled then. Jason finally responded.

Second in command are we good on that? Quinn typed teasing Jax a little.

Yes Quinn, I mean Ma'am. Jax also responded teasingly.

Jason got pissed off and decided to go to bed, finally he had stopped crying, but the group chat still continued for about 20 minutes.

MEANWHILE IN EARTH TWIN….

"Let me go you stupid c*nts!" Franklin said while being dragged in to ROOTless base's cell.

"Hey you tin can mind your language; you are definitely not in Earth". Hadron responded to Franklin, as he tossed Franklin in to the cell.

"Enjoy your last few hours before you become my… (Then the leader gave him a look), I mean OUR brain washed slave and prisoner. Hadron said while laughing like a mad scientist along with the rest of the team.

FRANKLIN's POV

I can't believe it! They really left me behind! No that can't be right they're gonna come back for me right?!! Yes of course! I and will always be part of the team. But what if they don't ever come back?, are they cowards?!

Franklin thought to himself with positive and negative thoughts about the team.

"Hey scrap metal I can still read AIs' minds you know and you're absolutely right! I don't think they're ever gonna come back for you. Have a good night!" Hadron finally said before heading to bed too, but his species could sleep only needed about 5 minutes before feeling energized once again. The hours left for the next day would be used to prepare on how to brain wash Franklin by all means, since he had a really tough firewall.

Dear readers, sorry for the delay in uploading chapters recently. It was due to school work and inefficient power supply to charge my laptop. Now I'm on holiday, but I still have other stuff to do apart from concentrating on school, so I won't absolutely guarantee you a daily release of my chapters but I'm gonna try my freaking best. 😏^_^
