"Sweetheart," Mr. Lewis called.
"Sweetheart—"
They were dining.
Both Kate and Kevin turned their heads to Andy looking worried.
The girl was in dazed. She was physically present but mentally absent.
Kate reached out to hold her daughter's hand.
"Is something wrong honey?" She asked worriedly.
Andy snapped back to her senses.
She smiled wryly, "I'm fine Mom, I'm just tired."
She then excused herself to rest in her room. Her family followed her with their gazes worriedly.

Three days had pass since that.
Kate has been anxious for the sudden change in behavior of her daughter. She even called her father John if something happen in Green City while the girl was there for vacation.
She's worried and anxious.
She has caught many a times her daughter looking into the void. She seemed lost in her thoughts every time but when ask, the girl would just say she's 'okay' and that made the whole family to worry.
They knew she's not okay.
"Kevin, do you know anything?"
They were in the study room of Mr. Lewis.
"I don't know anything Mom."
"How about Donna? Did you ask her?" The father inquired.
"Yeah, but she doesn't know a thing too."
[***********]
The room was dark as Kate entered her daughter's bedroom. She knocked but did not receive any response so she just entered. Good thing it wasn't lock.
She felt heavily sad as she saw her daughter on the balcony, again, in dazed. She could feel how lifeless her demeanor from that distance.
She walked slowly towards the girl.
"A penny for your thoughts?"
Andy turned towards her mother, startled. Kate just smiled lovingly.
"Mom,"
Kate inhaled deeply and joined her daughter staring afar off. She didn't utter a word. She just stayed there silently.
There was a moment of silence before Andy broke it.
"Say— how do you know if it's love Mom?"
Kate gripped the railings in the balcony and smiled.
'love'
'So it's about that'
"Well, you just know it Sweetheart."
Andy looked at her mother with brows met.
"Mom— "
Kate lightly laughed, "Are you somehow in love?"
"Mom, I don't know that's why I'm asking."
Kate turned to look at a distance.
"Well, people fall in love not knowing why or how. It just happen. It's a very special feeling that it doesn't require any answer."
Andy smiled, "You're not helping me at all Mom."
Kate tapped her daughter's shoulder.
"You'll figure it out yourself," then left the room.
