❤️Meeting her granny❤️

"What's your age cutie pie?" Alex asked with a smile on his face and patted Susan's head.

"I am five years old." Susan said with her bunny smile. Alex's face although hardened but nevertheless again softens seeing her smile.

Susan looked down and started swinging her feet to and fro. Alex was confused. He thought she would be talkative but here she is calm and only answering when Alex ask her something.

"Don't you like me ???" Alex asked with a not so warmed face.

Susan looked up and then said,

"You look scary. And also you don't talk much. I thought you will break our friendship if I talk much. So I am trying to stay quiet like you. So that you won't break our friendship." Susan said with a little smile.

Alex wanted to bang his head on a wall. Why he had to be so expressionless. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Ok, you can talk as much as you want. I promise I won't break our friendship." Alex said firmly.

Susan grinned ear to ear and then started saying,

"Ok then Al."

Alex smiled widely when he heard her calling him Al. No one ever gave him such a nice and cute nickname. Everyone would call him monster, evil etc etc.

"What did you call me?" Alex asked again, wanting to hear his nickname again.

Susan gulped down her saliva as she thought her new friend didn't like the nickname given by her.

She got down from the bench and muttering as sorry started running away.

Alex was dumbfounded. It took him a few seconds to grasp the whole situation.

He cursed himself and started running towards the way she ran.

He looked here and there when arrived near the local community. His eyes glistened in happiness when he saw her knocking on a particular door.

He didn't waste a second and ran near her.

Susan had tears in her eyes. Surely she is emotional. She gets scared easily.

Susan was continuously knocking on the door for her grandparents to open it. Tears had found her way down her cheeks.

Alex stood behind her and started huffing.

"Susan!!!!" Alex called out softly. He couldn't understand why he was so attached to her in one day only. His heart wasn't at peace when she tried to go away. He needed her near him. He wants her beside him. All the thoughts had messed up his mind badly.

Susan turned around. Her cheeks again red. She also couldn't understand why she was crying. It's not like it's the first time someone didn't like her given nickname. But not being liked by Alex bothered her. The reason is still unknown.........

"I am sorry!!" Susan whispered, her eyes filled with tears. Alex's heart ached when he saw those tears and the biggest ache was that he was the reason behind those tears.

How strange it is!!! They met each other for the first time!!! It hasn't been a day of them being friends!! But it looked like they can't live without each other now.

Alex came forward and cupped her face. He bent to her height and slowly said,

"Why are you sorry, Susan?"

"You didn't like my given name. I won't call you by that nickname again. I promise but please don't break our friendship. No one here wants to be my friend. I have been trying since the last few days. I can't live without friends. Please don't break our friendship." Susan cried out.

Alex didn't waste a second and pulled her in a hug. He wrapped his hands around her shoulder and started patting her head.

"Shush!!! You said I didn't like your given nickname. I loved it. No one gave me such a cute nickname. And I promised you right?? I'll never break our friendship. Never." Alex said, trying to calm her down.

"Susan dear, h......" Granny's voice died when she saw Susan hugging a boy older than her. She squinted her experienced eyes.

Her eyes widened in realization. Her little chirpy granddaughter was clinging to the crown prince of the city who despised people coming near him. She started shaking in fear as to what the crown prince will do to her little granddaughter.

Alex and Susan separated themselves when they heard the voice. Alex looked towards the woman who had her eyes plunged out. He knew that the lady knows about him.

He gestured to the lady not to say anything. The lady nodded her head which was ignored by Susan.

"Granny, meet my new friend Al. I mean Alex." Susan said, correcting herself.

Alex came forward and held her hand. He looked at Granny and said,

"Hello Granny. I am Alex. Susan's new friend." Politeness dripped down his words.

Granny was too shocked to say anything.

"Susan, go inside. Your grandpa brought you something." Granny said, trying to distract Susan. And she was successful. Susan smiled at Alex and then ran inside the house.

"I am sorry Prince. My granddaughter is a bit loud. Please don't mind her." Granny said politely. Even though the boy in front of her is still a kid, his demeanour couldn't be ignored.

"It's ok granny. And please call me Alex. It doesn't sound good that my friend's granny calls me a prince. And I have a request for you." Alex said.

Granny was shocked as she knew that the crown prince doesn't speak much and he despises to mingle with people. She shrugged off her thoughts and then looked at Alex.

"Yes, Pri..I mean Alex. Please tell me how I can help you." Granny said to Alex.

"Please don't tell Susan that I am the crown prince. She should think of me as a normal boy who is her friend." Alex said and peeked inside to see Susan running to and fro trying to find something.

"Don't worry Alex. she won't know. At Least not from us. Please come inside. How foolish of me!! I have been keeping your standing outside." Granny said realizing that she has kept him standing out. Thankfully not in the sun. She knows that, Alex has sun rays problem. Well each and everyone in the city knows about the crown Prince's allergies except the deadly ones. The normal ones are known to the citizens so that they could avoid those if by any chance the crown prince visits their locality.

"No, granny. I need to go. I'll come another time. Tell Susan to meet me at the same park at 9 o'clock tomorrow. I'll be waiting for her." Alex said and bidding his bye, he started walking away.
