New Handsome Teacher
It's always a long summer in 11th grade, and Aura Reyes, just back from being outside, was lying on her desk, exhaling hot air.
Buth city, one of the most prosperous cities on the southwest coast, is always as hot as a furnace in the summer.
Meadows Charter School, one of Buth's most prestigious high schools, had invested heavily in more specialty courses to make students more competitive in college applications, one of which was a third language course, but the female teacher who had been teaching it had been temporarily transferred to the West Coast for a period of time.
Aura was lying on her desk in the air conditioning, listening to the people next to her discussing.
"I just saw a handsome guy in the office, and I don't know whose relative he is!"
"Really? No way, is he a friend of any teacher?"
" What does he look like?"
"You girls are so boring!"
"Ha, aren't the boys boring?"
Gossip somehow turned into a war of words.
"Hey, Lily's here!"
Lily is one of the teachers of the second language course, and as her name suggests, she looks like an airy lily and has a good temper, making her one of the popular teachers among the students.
But Lily is strange today, her normally fair face is flushed, is the weather too hot?
"I'd like to introduce you all to the substitute teacher of the third language, Dr. Quinn Ortiz. from today, Dr. Ortiz will temporarily replace Ms. Lus until Ms. Lus returns from the west coast."
The shadow by the door frame was gone for a moment and he walked in.
"Huh? Great handsome guy!" A girl in the corner whispered, but the classroom was quiet as hell, and all laughed at the gurgle.
The "handsome guy" raised his eyes and curled his mouth slightly.
Aura thought she was wrong, not a handsome man, but a tremendously hot guy. It's a beautiful baby, with a clean profile, finely chiseled eyebrows, and lips that are not thick but full, curving upward without thinking. It was Aura's habit from childhood to look at men's lip lines.
Himue once told Aura one of her famous quotes, "A man with thin lips is more affectionate," and Aura thought of this phrase in an uncanny way.
"Ms. Lus has chosen two 'assistants' for her class before." Lily went on to introduce Dr. Ortiz. "Mr. Jonah Turner, would you stand up for a moment?"
Jonah stood up, and from Aura's angle, she saw the side of Jonah's face, with his high nose, fine glasses, nice lines, and 100% good boy looks, no wonder so many teachers liked Jonah.
"The other aide, Miss Aura Reyes, where are you?"
Aura stood up as well, flashing her signature Aura-style smile. Are you kidding, who the hell is Aura. She is also one of the best students in the 11th grade in the eyes of the teachers.
"Then please help Dr. Ortiz as much as you did before," Lily then said shyly to the handsome man, "and if you need any help, please feel free to call me." Lily pursed her lips in a ladylike smile.
"Of course, thank you very much." The handsome man smiled and replied politely.
Lily walked out of the classroom, leaving behind a fragrant breeze, and Dr. Ortiz walked to the side of the lectern and put his books down. The clean, long-sleeved linen shirt, delicately buttoned with tiny buttons with thin gold totems, flashed as he raised his hand. Everything was buttoned up except for the first button, which was unbuttoned, even the wrist area was buttoned flat.
Wouldn't this Dr. Ortiz be hot, Aura thought?
"My name is Quinn Ortiz, and of course you can call me Dr. Ortiz, but I prefer to be referred to as Quinn or Mr. Quinn. Whether you have questions about your studies or your life, you are all more than welcome." He hooked his mouth in a smile that grew in profile. Quinn continued, "Okay, let's get to class. Who told me where we were last time?"
After one lesson, everyone found out that this time they had a fabulous teacher, with authentic voice, clear grammatical analysis, and a simple and clear overview of the text!
Even Aura, who usually didn't care about the class and went home to read books for self-study, couldn't help but listen attentively and quickly kept up with Mr. Quinn's lecture speed.
"Monday and Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, is my office hour, if you have any questions, please feel free to seek me out! " Dr. Quinn finally said this while collecting his books and left the classroom on time.
" A new gorgeous teacher in third language class, I hear?" Kelyn couldn't help but ask as soon as she saw Aura on her way home. kylen has been a good friend of Aura's for years.
"Yeah, top-notch handsome." Aura remembered Quinn's divine frown.
"Too bad I didn't take the third language class." Kelyn said, "Hey, you should bring my eyes over tomorrow!"
"Yeah, I'll bring your eyes on my butt!" Aura said in a very serious way.
"Go away..."
"Kelyn, I'm going to Chue tonight, and if my mom asks you, remember to tell her I'm studying at your place!" Aura shouted to Kelyn as they came to the fork in the road. kelyn turned back to Aura and stuck her tongue out to show she heard her.
