“I…” Astrid opened her mouth in an attempt to refuse it. Marcus secretly curled his lips into a smirk under cover of darkness.

As he had predicted, the arrogant Astrid Levine, the Levine family's daughter, would never put her dignity aside to endure such humiliation.

"If I pick up all the notes in one minute, do I get to keep the money? And you're going to give me an extra 50,000, right?"

It seemed difficult for Astrid to say 'No' to this proposal. She remembered that silly girl, the only person in the prison who had shown her kindness and unfulfilled wish. Astrid then changed her mind. Dignity? Did she still have it?

Astrid Levine, at the time, possessed nothing! She has no home, family, friends, or history. She had only herself.
