Sophie stepped into her room and her eyes nearly popped out. The room was so large, the size of her whole house even. She had expected the room to be massive based on the number of rooms on the third floor, but it seemed like her imagination was still quite mediocre and lacking.
Two doors were on one side of the room and another door on another side. A huge king-size bed was placed in the center of the room. A round glass table with a white wrapped couch settled just a few meters to its side. Another chandelier was hanging from the ceiling, although it was nowhere as big as the one in the living room, it was still huge compared to others she had seen elsewhere.
She walked over to the bed and touched it, her hands instantly sank a few inches into it. So soft! The thick rose-colored bed sheets and matching pillows were so tempting that she had a strange urge to hop onto their temptation and roll around like a kid.
She fought the temptation and pulled her hands back. All these belonged to her now, no need to rush.
Her next target was the single door on the other side of the room. Sophie felt like she was still dreaming. She was having a hard time believing that everything that was happening was actually real. It felt too…. fictional.
She had originally planned to only find a serious partner who would cherish her and value her well so she could show Felix that he was blind to have left her, not like she wanted him anymore, after all, she now had Raymond.
Though Raymond seemed distant to her and said he could not fall in love. Sophie had taken it as a 'must to complete mission' to make him love her like she had imagined love to be.
She opened the door and took a peek inside, she was once again rendered speechless. Inside this room was another bedroom. Though it was a bit smaller than the one outside, it was more mind-blowing and lavishly furnished. She quickly withdrew her head, fearing that she might be unable to leave volunteering had she stayed any longer.
Over to the other two doors. One was the bathroom just as she had expected as such a huge room must have one and a large one at that. The bathtub was very big, big enough to fit 5 to 6 people and there would still be space for movements.
A handheld shower head hung up on the was close to the bathtub and a towel stand with five folded white towels and sponges beside it.
Sophie was yet again amazed. Just what would his bathroom look like then?
As for the last room. It turned out to be a dressing room with lots of racks arranged neatly so that it would not restrain movements. Racks for clothes, shoes, and other accessories. There were just so many in the room. Was she supposed to fill them all up? She also remembered the long Shelf in the smaller bedroom that was filled with different kinds of books. The word 'Excessive' popped up in her head.
Things here were just too extravagant!
Coming back from her thoughts. Sophie looked at the empty racks again before shifting her eyes to the dressing table with a large lighted vanity mirror.
Sophie instantly fell in love with the dressing mirror. Her dream!
Owning such a dressing table was what every girl would dream of and wish for all day. And now she had one and it was as beautiful as the ones used by top stars!!
She was about to head over when a light knock came from outside the room. She paused and looked at the dressing table with reluctance boldly written all over her face.
The knock came again before Sophie finally left to open the door. The door was opened with a click sound and in front of Sophie stood an old man in a black long back suit that was parted in two. A white long sleeve collar shirt underneath with a black bow tie. Going further down was a pair of long legs which ended in a pair of black monk strap shoes.
The typical style of butlers in the movie.
And although the butler was already old and had white hair, his face did not show any sign of an old man. With well-toned skin and sharp eyes. He gave the vibe of a middle-aged uncle.
The butler gave her a deep bow before saying "Hello miss. My name is Charles Davidson but you can call me Charles. I want to inform you that the master wants to meet you shortly and also if you think there is anything that is to your discomfort and you want it to be changed, all you need to do is to say the word and it will be done without delay" The butler said with a respectful and friendly voice. He did not sound arrogant or talked to her like she was a kid which made Sophie feel a little uncomfortable. After all, the butler was older than her dad probably but he was addressing her with so much respect that she felt a little scared.
"Please don't be so formal uncle Charles. I'm Sophie by name and you can just call me that and I don't have anything that I want to change, everything is perfect!" Sophie said hurriedly and helped the old butler to stand up from his bowing down position.
Charles wore a very gentle and sincere smile then said warmly "No need to care about this old bone miss. You are the lady of the master and you deserve our respect and service. Also, don't call me uncle next time, I don't want to gain the Master's attention"
Though his words sounded like he was joking, Sophie was able to tell he was being serious, and once again she could not help but wonder if the butler was also wary of Raymond's coldness.
"If you say so…Charles," She said with a smile on her face.
"Someone will come to get you soon," Charles said and slowly walked away.
Sophie sighed and closed the door and leaned her back on it with her eyes closed. Different thoughts flashed in her mind.
She actually wanted to take a quick bath and change into new sets of clothes but she realized that she had brought nothing with her. The dressing room also had nothing yet. She would probably go back to get her things later.
