Heart Wants What it Wants

Layla followed Mrs. Sheldon inside the house. The walk she was so familiar with was now unknown to her.

Layla's steps moved towards the house naturally. It was as if her legs had a mind of their own. But then her steps stopped abruptly.

Seeing Mrs. Sheldon stop, suddenly confused Layla but still tried to smile it off and yet there was no positive response from the people around her. Layla was treated as an ordinary guest who tried to act like the owner.

"This way Miss." Layla was reminded of her mistake when she saw Mrs. Sheldon had long gone her way. The light in Layla's eyes dimmed a few degrees.

"Sorry, it was my mistake." Layla smiled as she followed behind a help into the garden room.

'Why here?'

Layla was a bit confused but did not dare to raise her concerns. Mrs. Sheldon's glaring eyes still lingered in her mind. They both sat in the place outside the house which was directly attached to the garden giving them a beautiful view.
