The Boy's Face was Quite Familiar...

"Ye Heng, you have to remember to be nice to Miss Xia," Mother Ye, Ruan Xia spoke as she watched her son walk over to the door.

Ye Heng had a helpless look on his face as he heard his mother's reminder. "Mom, I know."

"I know that it won't be easy for you to talk to a lady, but Ye Heng, you have to promise that you will give it a try."

"I know."

"Even if you think that Miss Xia is not suitable, you cannot be rude to her," Ruan Xia continued. "Just talk to me. Let me do all the talking for you."

"Mom..." Ye Heng held his mother's shoulder and flashed an assuring smile. "I know."

His mother would say a few words each time that he was about to head out on a blind date. After a few times, Ye Heng felt that he could remember his mother's words by heart.

Ruan Xia heaved a sigh. The expression on Ye Heng's face reminded her that she should stop nagging too much.

"Ye Heng, Mom is just worried about you."

"It's just going out and having a meal with a new person. Mom, you don't have to worry about me."

Ruan Xia smiled. Even though her son was telling her that she should not worry, Ruan Xia would still worry. Her children might be grown-ups, but as a mother, Ruan Xia would always worry about them.

"Alright then." Ruan Xia patted her son's hand a few times. "Just go. When you come back, you have to tell me how it goes."

"Mmm... I know."

After saying a few more words, Ye Heng finally left in his car.

The road was smooth. It did not take Ye Heng a long time to arrive at his meeting place with his blind date. Noticing that there was still time before his meeting, Ye Heng decided to walk around the place first before heading to the cafe.

Ye Heng stopped by a shop and looked at the magazine on display.

He picked up one of them and browsed through it leisurely. A while later, Ye Heng paused when he saw an article about the CEO of A-Link, Quan Lian.

Ye Heng remembered meeting this man at the hotel not too long ago.

As he read the article, Ye Heng could tell that many were keeping their eyes on Quan Lian and his company's growth.

Ye Heng paused when he noticed a little boy on his left side from the corner of his eyes.

Initially, Ye Heng did not want to pay attention to the little boy, but seeing the way he was counting his money and glancing at the candies in front of him changed his mind.

He swept his gaze around the place, but could not see any adults that would be the young boy's guardian.

His brow furrowed. Ye Heng wondered what was this young boy doing here alone.

After a brief hesitation, Ye Heng walked closer to the little boy and cleared his throat. "Do you want this candy?"

The little boy raised his head and saw that an adult man was pointing at the candy that he had been eyeing for a long time. He recalled the man's question again and nodded.

"Do you want me to get it for you?" Ye Heng asked, noticing that the young boy might be too short for him to reach for the candy.

The young boy nodded. A brief second later, he paused and shook his head. "No. I am still thinking."

Ye Heng raised a brow. "You are still thinking? About what?"

"I am thinking if the money I have would be enough for me to buy one for me and my little sister." The boy scratched his head. He glanced at the money in his hand before looking at the candy again.

The boy's words reminded Ye Heng of what he would do for his younger sisters, Ye Qing Xin and Ye Qing Luo.

Back then, he would save his pocket money so that he buy some candies for them.

This time, Ye Heng took the time to look at the young boy properly.

The light in his eyes lit up.

Ye Heng could not understand why...

This was the first time he had seen this boy, but the moment he lay his eye on him, Ye Heng felt as if the boy's face was quite familiar...

"Uncle, do you think that I have enough money to buy two pieces of candy?"

The boy's question snapped Ye Heng out of his trance. He looked at the money in the boy's hand and shifted his eyes to the price stick to the candy bar.

"It should be enough."

The boy looked at Ye Heng in excitement. "Really?"

"Un." Ye Heng smiled. "Do you need me to take the candy for you now?"

The boy nodded a few times. "Uncle, please help me to take two pieces of them. One for me and one for my little sister."

Ye Heng chuckled. He picked two pieces of candy and handed them over to the little boy. "You are very good to your little sister."

"Hmm..." The boy looked at the candies in his hand with a smile. "I'm her elder brother. Of course, I have to be good to her."

Ye Heng liked the little boy a little more. He had a feeling of wanting to get close to the little boy. However, he did not want to appear as a creep.

Ye Heng watched as the little boy walked to the cashier and paid for the candies. Then, the little boy walked to Ye Heng again and nodded. "Uncle, thank you for helping me."

"You are welcome." Ye Heng smiled. "Little boy, why are you here alone? Where is your parent?"

"My Mom and Grandma are waiting for me over there." He pointed in a direction.

Ye Heng followed the boy's line of gaze and saw an elder woman watching them from a distance.

"I sneaked over to buy a candy for my little sister."

His mother was on the phone, talking about work. The boy just wanted to visit the shop for a while to buy a little something.

"It's good that you are caring for your younger sister. But little boy, you shouldn't go too far from your parents. They would worry when they could not find you."

The boy nodded. "Uncle, I know. Then, I will go over to my Grandma now." He raised his hand and waved. "Bye-bye, Uncle."

Ye Heng stood in place and watched the little boy reach his grandmother's side. Then, he turned around and left as he remembered that he had an appointment with someone.
