Get into the vibes

"Ayana! Ayana, please! Atleast listen to me!"

"Listen to you what?!"

Ayana snatched her hand back from Betty's grip as she marched into the crowd.

"I knew this would happen, but think about it yourself?! It's already been two weeks yet you haven't forgotten him. Days have already been chaotic enough, plus this stress over your head. I just wanted you to have some break from this mess." She said with a pain lingering in her voice.

Ayana could tell what she was trying to say, but it wasn't like she was torturing herself every night with his memories purposefully. She wanted to move on too! but it wasn't that easy to cut ties just like that. She had a long crush on him since childhood afterall.

Ayana felt the frustration they both were trapped in. In the end she couldn't help but calm down herself just for her sake.

"Fine. But I can't stay here anymore. It's filled with couples everywhere."

"What? But wouldn't your money then go to a waste then?"

"Huh?! Why would my money go to waste?" Her perplexed reaction was introduced with a mischievous smile on her partner's face.

"My wish. Remember?" Betty smirked as she made Ayana recall the regrettable incident that day.

"...WAIT! ARE YOU SAYING YOU BOUGHT TICKETS AND I'LL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT?!" Ayana yelled as soon as she realised how much she had underestimated the evilness of her friend.

"Pfft! Yeah slowpoke. And the amount is hundred dollars each for two of us!" She laughed heinously. Being low on budget, Ayana calculated her total money at home and in her purse.

'Nope, not a penny to shed.' she muttered internally from despair.

"It seems someone sucked life out of you right now! Haha!" She shamelessly commented to tease some more.

"I sometimes wonder, are you even my friend..."

"Oh c'mon! Don't be like that! You can pay me in installments, so enjoy the party for now! Ah yes! Let's not get wasted like last time okay?"

"..." Ayana had given up arguing at this moment.

Betty forcefully dragged Ayana deep into the crowd and began dancing with funny moves to lift up the mood. Ayana definitely didn't liked it at first, but seeing Betty's funny flows, the inner child of her finally burst out as well.

A strange competition of whom danced wierdly the most had spread among them. Other people laughed at first, but after matching the same vibe with the beat, the whole crowd resonated with it as well.

The retro hit and funky pop songs played on repeat as crowd demanded for it more. For the first time, the sea shore reverberated with old disco songs instead of lustful meaningless music and overused electronic beats. Even the old shop owners were now dancing in their shops with those nostalgic feelings in their heart.

However the main conductors of this orchestra were on the centre stage swinging their body as if it was their last day on this planet. While some people watched them from a distance appraising them, others joined in as well. From old to young, there was no one who could escape from this retro vibe now.

On the hand, three people were struggling to come out of the crowd. They reeked from the smell of sweat and booze on their expensive dress. Their party shoes and heels were filled with sand grains and were sinking into the sand with every step they took. It was so suffocating and steamy that even air was getting harder to grasp from atmosphere.

'Home' that's all they could think of the moment they started to see a path towards the exit. With Sebastian at front, they finally managed to slip between the gaps of crowd and take a deep breath in the open space.

They all turned around with an exhausted face to look at the monstrous crowd they just survived from. It was humongous and scary.

'I made a very bad decision today.' Eric concluded as it marked the fear of crowd from here on for him. The others felt the same way as well.

Surprisingly, Scarlett decided to leave on her own as she had drained off her energy in the crowd. It was the worst date ever she had ever planned. She wasn't in the state to show her face to Eric in this condition. She just wanted to go home and so she did.

"Sebastian, I think I am too tired to go back to Elmont. There must be a resort under my sister's name somewhere. Book a room as soon as possible, we'll be staying here tonight."

"Umm sir, but wouldn't these noise bother your rest? I can drive back perfectly. We can also book a hotel room in our way if you want."

"No, it'll take a lot of time until we reach home. The resort should be around on the other side of this beach. It's always quiet there. Call Grace and ask for a booking under your name."

"Understood sir. Till then why don't you go to that cafe named Delicia? I'll meet you there after finishing the call."

"Fine."

They both parted their ways and Eric struggled as he pushed his body to walk front. He was drained out of energy as well, being both mentally and physically exhausted.

'I got to coincidentally meet with Ms. Shekar thanks to my annoying family, but in the end I couldn't get to spend time with her, because of that Playgirl leech. Ugh! I am tired!' he grumbled endlessly until a panting voice ringed his ears asking for help.

'Can't this woman see my tired state?' he frowned as he lifted his head but was amazed to see the woman in front of him.

It was Ayana holding Betty in her arms! They both looked drunk, but Betty was completely knocked out this time. She was snoring heavily on Ayana's shoulders and was being carried all the way by Ayana herself.

"Oh! It's you Eric! Jesus, you look so tired that I almost didn't recognised you. Well considering how frail your body is, it was to be expected." She slightly scoffed with a sweaty face to mark a warm gesture. It wasn't like Eric actually looked real skinny to her, rather she subconsciously admired his tall stature and muscular body. It's just that she didn't wanted to admit him as some strong for joking purposes.

"Excuse me? From which angle do I look frail to you? I do workout every morning." He also smirked hiding tiredness off his face.

"Liar. Look at how loose your shirt already is. And wait, is that beer spilled over your suit?"

"...It's coke. Also, my shirt is loose cause it's big in size."

"So you don't even know your size, huh?" Ayana teasingly said.

"It's in fashion nowadays..ugh! Let's forget this. Let me help you." Eric reached out his hand to help but Ayana stopped him in midway, claiming he was already too tired to carry one individual.

Hearing her say that, an argument broke between them which stupidly continued for a long time.

But in the end, they finally decided to coordinate and enter the cafe together. There was that goofy giggle on their faces.
