City M
On the Lake
A path with towering trees and dry leaves on the ground is where Gretta is currently visiting. She stared at the back of the man in front of her in silence, before turning back to the side and muttering happily afterwards.
"It's beautiful," Gretta muttered.
The man who heard it glanced briefly before turning back to face the front with a small smile. "When you arrive you will like the place I show you more," he said confidently.
"Is that true?" asked Gretta in a very curious tone. She even looked at the net with a twinkle, reaping a smile in the heart of this man.
"Um, of course it is."
"Then go fast," said Gretta then pushed the back of the man in front of her who had jerked, when his back was grabbed by Gretta who didn't feel guilty at all. "Let's go!" The continued exclamation of the girl behind him made his lips return to a small smile. He also increased the tempo of his walk and this time ventured to take Gretta's wrist, which had been stunned, especially when the man suddenly turned around.
Grip!
"Strong to run?" asked the man with a mysterious tone and smile, so that even Gretta who saw it was confused.
What are you running for? thought Gretta with a tilted head.
"Huh?"
"Don't you want to hurry up?"
"Of course!" said Gretta forgetting her shock, as her wrist was gently grasped.
She had recently felt the grip of a man, especially from a stranger. In fact, his former lover was not allowed to touch the tip of his fingernail.
And for some reason it felt strange, with a flutter that felt different but he didn't understand why.
Why did I accept when he held my hand?
Gretta was confused but didn't want to deny it either.
"Then let's run until we reach the goal!" asked the man before finally pulling Gretta's hand to run after her.
"Whoa!"
Gretta was indeed surprised when she felt the pull, she even ignored the pounding she felt. However, her shriek of surprise turned into a chuckle and for some time, she linked her hand to the man who gripped her tightly back.
The two of them were seen running with each other while sharing a laugh and occasionally the man in front turned around, to make sure Gretta was running properly. Also, stealing glances when the smile is now broad.
There were no more sad faces and he was happy about it.
I just want your face to be decorated with a smile, not gloomy or even tears. Though I don't know why, I just don't want to see you like that, she thought hopefully.
Not long after, they arrived at a river and a green field.
This sight made Gretta who saw it suddenly fell silent, with her mouth open and her eyes widening, amazed.
She suddenly looked at the man beside him in disbelief.
How long has she lived in this M city? Why only now did she see a beautiful river with a field in front of her.
Or
indeed she is the one who doesn't pay attention to her surroundings, a simple but extraordinary place.
"I didn't know there was such a beautiful place like this," Gretta said without hiding her amazement. She even looked at what was presented in front of her without blinking, then turned to the man who was currently staring at the river in front of her.
"Good, right? Here, usually a place for me to be alone. Especially when I remember my parents," he said.
"Why do you remember your parents?"
Gretta was confused by what the man beside her was saying, not to mention the wistful eyes and it made her want to rub the man's cheek. However, she refrained from getting carried away with the current atmosphere.
"Because they are happy up there," replied the man with a small smile, while tilting his face up there "They are more loved by God, so they were asked to live up there," he continued sadly.
Gretta was silent with a sad look at the sad reality of this man. She let his hand go up and rubbed the shoulder of the man who turned to look at her, then smiled a little hoping his smile could calm him down.
"It's okay. You say, they are more loved by God, then it means they are happy and you will surely find that happiness?" murmured Gretta consolingly.
The man smiled a little, then took Gretta's palm and gripped it tightly.
"Of course, I'll get my happiness someday," he said affirmatively "So, are you not sad anymore?" he continued hopeful.
"Eh!?"
"Yes, I know you must be sad right now," said the man confidently.
Gretta turned her face the other way as a diversion, then gave a disgruntled chuckle as a distraction with a small shake of her head.
"No, I'm not sad. I just wanted to be alone, that's all."
The man who heard this naturally couldn't believe it. However, he didn't insist and decided not to ask anymore, he still knew and wanted to keep the boundaries laid by the girl who seemed to be hiding something from him.
Then, the man walked away from Gretta who could only stare at him in silence. He sat down on the grass not far from the river and turned around and waved his hand.
"Come here, the sun is about to set," he called, having forgotten the boundaries he had made.
"Um." Gretta muttered as she walked over to the man and sat beside him, then looked up at the sky above, which was starting to show a gradient of orange with a bluish glow.
"So beautiful..." Gretta muttered in amazement.
"One of the things I love about all the beauty of nature is the sun at sunset, besides sunrise," said the man without turning his head to the side, he was busy looking at God's most glorious creation in front of him.
Then, he turned to Gretta whose face was now refracted by the orange sun. Truly, Gretta was like an angel who came down from above.
Beautiful, she is really beautiful, he praised in his heart.
"Only sunsets and sunrises? Then what about the midday sun?" Gretta asked, turning her head to the side and staring unblinkingly, as the night's black eyes stared deeply into hers.
"I didn't really like it before."
"Huh! Why? Aren't they both the sun?" Gretta asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"Yes, I used to not like them because they were hot and burned the skin. But not right now Because (Your irises are as beautiful as the blue afternoon sky and your mane is as bright as the afternoon sun)"
"Because what?"
"Huh!" The man was confused when the question and Gretta's confused face appeared in front of him. Ah! He seemed lost in thought and continued the next sentence silently, so that Gretta couldn't hear him. "Because they're both suns, what do you say," the man replied quickly and almost stuttered.
"Ah! I see."
"How about you?"
