Desired It Greatly

Hera looked over to the balcony, it was an oversee of the whole conglomerate of Zemira. In each inch of Zemira were the trails of involvements of change the late Emperor made. As she followed the trails of the memory and picked them up from the hairsbreadth of the empire, she slowly dangled solemnly.

It still was a pain that her best mentor had died.

From time to time since he died, Hera felt the lack of a piece. Since he died, Hera lost a piece of her heart but there was no time for her to mourn that time. The moment the Emperor died, Hera was urged to hurriedly take the throne.

She found no other time to mourn her great loss than when she was only with herself.

Every time her thoughts drifted to think of her father, she wondered numerous times what it was like if he was around.

He could have seen Hera's great change. Maybe, he would not even find the need to guard her wisely because of the fear that she might get caught in danger. If only he could see that at this time, she was the danger.

The lovely and timid daughter the great Emperor had was now dead, she felt that this alteration in her would make the late Emperor proud.

For some time, the late Emperor greatly worried about his timid daughter, if only that illness had not caught him, he would have seen how she was right now. Maybe, he could sigh in relief, convinced that he need to not worry about her anymore.

'I can take myself from here, father...' Her mind spoke.

Hera shook off her thoughts. Her thoughts made a trace of clarification in her. Indeed it would have been great if he was around, but doubtingly, Hera would not change one bit if he was ever around.

Hera would not find her new self, she would not be the stronghold of herself. She would have stayed timid and weak, still a disappointment to the Emperor who greatly trusted her to surpass him.

She sighed. "You seemed to be fallen into dismay, Hera..."

Amraphel spoke from behind her, he stood firmly with both his hands hidden behind his back.

She hid her worry behind her rigorous expression, she did not want him to see her in her low and blue times. Amraphel had seen enough of her shortcomings, she would be ashamed if she would lean onto him any further.

The new Hera can take care of herself, she thought.

"Have you been thinking of the late Highness once again, my Empress?"

"Amraphel?" She turned her head to look at him then once again, she focused it on the view that she overlooked before her.

Ah. Predicting her was an ease for Amraphel who had grown to be around her all these years. He ambled toward the balcony, his hands reached on the railing of the terrace. He turned around and leaned his hips to the railing then crossed his arms.

Hera deeply breathed out, "Amraphel, I'm impressed you can read me well. Did it seem to you I changed not?"

She bent down, she established her elbows on the railing, her hands cupped her face, and her eyes gradually looked at the empty horizon in front of her eye level.

"You did change, that I'm certain..." He spoke, his head leaning to his left as he perceived her. "You gave birth to a new you but the Hera I always knew was still embracing you..."

He gave a warm gleam toward her, and Hera gave a subtle chuckle. She found it funny how predictable she was.

"She was still there, is she?" She gleamed.

Amraphel returned a warm smile to her, he turned over to oversee the entirety of Zemira.

"What do you plan to do with those recreants?" he inquired.

Hera scoffed, "I will have to make them regret what they did. I will establish the new throne, with my hands I will make Zemida anew."

She snickered widely, Amraphel gaped at her, his eyes slowly wandering down to her seductive lips as he deliberately swallowed. He found himself caught in a daze whilst he stared at her plump lips for quite a while.

"You need not help me anymore, Amraphel..."

Her voice shattered his brief stupor of thoughts, and promptly, his eyes averted from her, avoiding her. His hand fidgeted slowly after he hid them behind his back to conceal his nervousness.

"You are already devoted enough to help me, I need not worry you any longer..."

Amraphel just listened, he vied to hide what was it he just did. It was such a disgrace for a minister like him to lust for her Empress, even if he adored her greatly. Maybe it was just the fact that Hera had started to notice him again after a while she only concentrated on Gavryll, after all, even if Amraphel was always around, no matter what happened, Hera would only talk about Gavryll.

Amraphel only stood solemn as she listened to her all this time. For that extent to pass, Amraphel was joyous, he felt there was still a chance for him to admire her and her to admire him as well.

"Have you been reimbursing attention to my statements? You do not, do you?" she chided, and she released a heavy sigh.

Gradually, she draped her hand on his shoulders which caught him by surprise. Amraphel turned crimson as slowly his face surged red.

"What...are you vying to do, Empress?" he sputtered his words as if water that dripped from a glass had spread vastly across the floor.

Her hands drifted to the hands he hid which gripped the railing tightly in an uneasy anticipation, gradually, she lifted them and wrapped them around her waist. Amraphel felt a surge of uneasiness swelled from inside him.

"My Empress, I knew not what you are trying to do..."

"Hush..." She voiced, her finger lifted up, and caught his lip to shut. "I will steal your attention so that you will listen..."

A deviant and impish expression dressed her countenance. Her hands hovered on top of his chest to his shoulders and led to the back of his nape. Both her hands clutched each other.

She pressed her toes on the floor to get herself up and meet his face because Hera was rather small compared to Amraphel's fit physique.

Her lips met his, her soft brims met his delicate yet pale fringes. He was caught in a daze, surprised and uncertain if either he would resolve to shove her away or stay still. Hera teased him whilst she nibbled on his lower lip, their breaths were the silence they heard. A couple of minutes passed, and Hera slipped her mouth off his and gave a subtle chuckle.

Her hands left from their posture, she pushed him away gently as slowly his hands that laid rest on her waist parted. Awestricken and dumbfounded, Amraphel was still in question of what had happened. Only at this time did he was caught off guard and by any means, he can't pick himself up and free himself from being dazed.

"Why did you do it?" he nervously inquired.

Hera snickered, "You seemed to desire it greatly."

Hera left thereupon after her words were spoken.
