It felt as if I had been struck in the abdomen with a baseball bat or run over by a truck. The immense impact left me dizzy, and my vision faded to black. I almost fainted.
Then, my legs spasmed suddenly, and the excruciating pain made me scream in agony. My wolf roared furiously within me.
"I want to tear open her throat!"
But I was too weakened, lacking the strength to transform into my wolf form.
I could only lie on the operating table, feeling a mixture of numbness and excruciating pain coursing through my body. It was absurd yet undeniably real that both feelings remained at the same time.
The anesthesia continued to take hold, causing me to feel disoriented, but I had to regain control, and so I did.
However, compared to all the physical suffering, it was the mental torment that pushed me to the brink of collapse.
I realized that all of that was Sonja's plot.
