Damian's POV
The cast had been removed from my legs and hands, and I had never felt so grateful to finally be free. It was the only good news I had experienced in days.
I stared at my feet, it was mildly swollen, it was looking way better than it had been in days. Now without looking like I had engaged in a fight and failed I chose to focus on things within my control, like getting my mind back and the game, and having full focus.
Grandpa and Henry were having a little party with his friends, which was okay, and Samantha hadn't said anything concerning her parents in days now, they were currently undergoing trial and after our last argument she had barely left her room, probably sulking on the fact that they were being convicted.
I did my part as a partner by sending food over to her, from time to time, maybe it wasn't entirely her fault, that's all I could say, I could not hold her parents sin against her.
