Jodie was flagged down by the rookie she had put in charge of going through that video footage and headed over eagerly. "Do you have anything for me?"

"I have a lot," Ramone Arteaga said matter-of-factly. "There were fifteen different people who came and went while Vera Gilmore was at the fitness center on April 18th. Nine of them were men.

"One in particular stood out to me because he dropped his water bottle and it rolled over to where Gilmore was. She picked it up and handed it to him with a smile. You know it can take very little to set these weirdos off. I think he might be our guy but I have info on all of them to be safe. I circled him on the list."

"You're the best, Ramone!" Jodie said gleefully as she accepted the list from him.

The rookie seemed pleased. "Just doing my job."

"Well, you're doing great. Thank you!"

She hurried off in search of David and found him getting a refill on his coffee. He raised an eyebrow when he saw her. "What's your hurry?"
