Vera hadn't told Tilly about her stalker. What was the point of upsetting her when she would go and forget so quickly anyway?

But when her aunt was lucid she noticed something was bothering her niece even if she wouldn't say. She noticed when Vera's usual demeanor was back as well.

"I take it that whatever was bothering you has been resolved?"

"Yep!" Vera said cheerfully. "I took my friend to Heron's to celebrate, actually. It was delicious."

Tilly raised an eyebrow. "Which friend is this? You never mention going to do anything with anyone these days. Is it someone from college or did you meet a new one I don't know about?"

"A new one. He was a client before he was my friend. You know, the one with the 1960s farmhouse. I told you how I fixed his cabinets and windowsills."

"Oh, right! I didn't realize you saw him outside of a work capacity. Or that it was a him."
